SMD SunFlash UV Activated Polyester Resin (1 Gallon)

My use of it in Ohio took place during a very sunny but cool day in March. I recently used resin in my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe to fabricate a pair of sub enclosures under the false floor. It was winter at home and a lot of people were working in their garages. As you can see from the temperature reading in the garage, it was in the mid 50s and it was in the mid 40s outside. Despite being allowed to set up for three days, resin did not set The set up in the sun took half as long as the demo videos on Youtube, but I was still extremely impressed the speed with which it was accomplished. I spent 30-35 minutes on it When the temperature is colder, it takes 40 minutes for the hardening process to complete. In my basement workshop, where temperatures were 70 degrees and the humidity was low, I used the LED black lights that Amazon recommended for UV activated resins, which took about 15 minutes to solidify. I am truly blown away by the quality of The only thing I didn't like was that when I went to buy my next gallon, the price had gone up by 5 dollars . ) in the 3 weeks since I bought the first gallon, but, honestly, who cares. The resin is only $5, LOL. I'll use it from now on when I need a fast-curing The other thing I want to point out is that Steve is definitely right. I absolutely do not observe any ODER once the resin has fully solidified. When applied to the 19 oz. of Styrene, there is a very strong smell of Styrene. Since I was using woven rove, it would be highly recommended that I use a respirator mask and ventilate well this area. The overall experience has been extremely positive, and I will definitely use this product I love the fact that Steve's company is very customer service oriented (I have also purchased a DD1 and a CC1 for audio installation projects). In some ways, his business is old school like how business used to be, an idea most companies do not think of today. Would have been nice if he had a distributor up here in northern Ohio so I could pick up the supplies in person rather than waiting for the shipping to arrive.

I have built fiberglass products and cured them for a number of years. This is an evidently poor product and I am unable to rate it A 7 would be my score, but that's how I would place It's amazing to see that I've been curing fiberglass products indoors with a black light in just a few minutes thanks to this product. My first can helped me test it out, and then I ordered four more after finding it worked so well. My jaw dropped when I realized how fast this set up was. When I use my black light, I can get a 3 - 10 There is a 10 minute cure time depending on the thickness of the resin and how much is used. There is one complaint this brand of UV reactive resin is a bit more expensive than other brands. My rating would be 5 stars if the cost of fuel were $70 per gallon.

If you order what you want, you will not get it. In my order, I wanted 4 quarts of Flash because that's what I wanted anyway. The gallon can I received was very helpful. Fiberglass resin is not something I use continually but I do use about a gallon over a period of Upon breaking the seal, I am left with 1/2 of it In addition, I contacted SMD about the issue, but did not get a reply.

There are so many amazing things about Adobe Flash. It is perfect for a beginner who just wants to learn fiberglassing. You have to put it in the sun for it to harden. The panels for my garage door are being put in. The temperature inside the building was 110 degrees. Once the fan was running, I closed the door and had a long time to figure out what to do. I didn't have to hurry or stop to mix up more resin, so I was very pleased with that. you can put it under direct sunlight until it becomes a hard surface within 10 minutes or less. There is nothing I love more than I would like to give a big shoutout to Steve himself and to his staff as well. Very great customer service. I had a problem with the first gallon of wine that I ordered. SMD called the next day, and a replacement one was sent free of charge. After I emailed them, they shipped me another one the next day. FedEx would be able to ship it to me and they agreed to do so. It was 2 days later when I got my new gallon. It was absolutely impossible to communicate back and forth with them. They are absolutely amazing. I can't say enough about how awesome it was to do business with them and the product. I bought another gallon just to have on hand. I really don't regret buying it.

Despite being pricey, the order arrived in an extremely timely manner and in excellent condition. So far I haven't used it, since I'm in the process of tearing down the previous build to work on Having worked in custom auto glass for over a decade, I can tell you that you need to know this stuff, too, if you do glass work. There is nothing but the truth when it comes to SMD stuff.

There is no need to mix it. A UV light can be used, but the sun is so much more effective and faster.

I absolutely love this stuff! My skepticism stemmed from the fact that usually when things sound too good to be true, The first time I tried it, I trusted Steve, so I did it and was I found it to be exactly what it said it was.
