XYZprinting Full Color Handheld 3D Scanner 1.0 Pro.

Their claim that the highest resolution it can scan at is 1 seems to me to be false. This is 5 mm thick. You can see some comparison pictures I uploaded. I have taken a photo of the statue I scanned, which measures 8" tall on the first image. In the second image, you can see A STL file was generated using the handheld 3D scanner by XYZPrinting. In general, I stood about 4 inches away from the scanner while I passed it over the face a few times. I have attached the third image to this post. Recap 360 stitched together 35 photos to create an obj file. Without any filters or flash, the photos were taken with a regular smartphone camera. As a result, the photoscan output is significantly better, and Recap 360 runs in the browser, meaning both of these features are available even without having a machine that has a modern CPU, 4GB of RAM, and connected to a powered USB port. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of the scans taken with this device. This is a bad company! After opening it up today and beginning to play, I was excited to have fun with it. My operating system is Windows 10, and I have an It was therefore a good purchase for me. It is not recommended for people who do not understand 3D scanning (I use Lightwave 3D Modeler) or do not have their own modeling software (I use Catia). The scanner was used to scan car parts so I could produce fixtures and fittings models. It only took me a few minutes to make a model from rough contours. Having scanned the grandkids and printed them directly without any post-processing, I thought it would be perfect for that (attached is the image). There's a good chance it is roughly equivalent in quality to a $100k scanner from around If all you want to do is use the contours as reference points, all you need to do is capture them. I found this tool to be superb. you want to scan anything smaller than a head or if the resolution needs to be greater than 2mm, you're going to have to spend a great deal.
