As it happens, I bought this to be able to scan some ABS auto parts in the best quality and make some small adjustments. As far as I can tell, that's a complete failure. I have had to jump through a lot of hoops before I could use this unit, which is technically "working" but cannot be edited or corrected. To make a mesh from the scanned data, the last step is to scan again Using the mesh, all the detail is removed and the object appears squishy and bloated. A mesh must be made before an item can be exported, and once a mesh has been made, it is locked in place and cannot be edited. This doesn't seem to be of any use to me. In one print, I did use a scanned object clay template, and it was a good representation of the "mesh. However, the "mesh" obliterated my carefully placed bolt holes, and rounded sharp corners into soft and fuzzy marshmallows. Compared to the drawing a 3-year-old would do, it seemed like something he would do. I'd like to know more about this. What is the resolution of 01mm? For the price, this item is very functional

I was skeptical because I had never done 3D scanning before. In our opinion, Matter and Form would be the best option since the resolution is good and the price is better than the other choices. Taking a chance with it, I figured I could return it if I didn't like Besides, I am not a computer person, so I am not able to use the software in the box I have to download it from the company's website. Despite knowing that the scanner had a power button, I had no idea where it was located. The logo is in the middle of the screen. It's a little different but it's As well as calibrate, I was able to get a scan of the duck it comes with, but I was unable to get the top or bottom on it. In essence, you have to repeat scanning your object a few times and combining the scans. Software they use allows for this to be done fairly easily. The scans took less than a minute each, and the noise in each one was cleaned up in about a minute. Once the scans were combined, it took hardly any time at all. My results really were what I liked after playing around for about an hour with different methods of scanning ducks. In order to get a nice STL file for my printer, I masked and got a nice STL file. Additionally, they have a cloud service called bevelpix that you can use to upload the scans. The site is still in the works for me. As a bonus, I also scanned this sea shell because I also wanted to evaluate The number of claims is 1 million. "QuickScan" is what I used to do it. I was familiar with the makers bot digitizer's low resolution and performance and was looking forward to it. After using it for two days, I was somewhat frustrated, but after talking with Trevor from the company about some of the intricacies, I was able to figure out how to use it effectively. Being able to perform quick scans is a huge advantage - In terms of the actual performance, it appears to be tremendous not just for time savings, but also in terms of cost savings. It is important to me that this becomes a valuable tool for my rapid prototyping company.
