Are there any restrictions on the size of the item that it can ?

* For fixed scan mode, it can scan records up to 1200x1200x1200mm size without a turntable. * For auto scan mode with a turntable, it can scan records up to 200x200x200mm size.

The scanner is capable of scanning dental models, but can it be used for this purpose?

There is a possibility that this scanner is not suitable for dental scanning. For doing this, there is a special dental scanning 3D system.

Scanner that works reasonably well

The scanner I am using has so far been able to scan objects Using baby powder, I was able to scan a shiny metal object much better. As you can see, the image I added is a hood ornament that was scanned in using meshmixer and cleaned up there. Despite having a rough surface after post scanning, the meshmixer program was able to smooth out the surface. Due to the 1990's out of date appearance software that comes with the unit, I docked 1 star. I have noticed some issues with the USB connection. Each time I set up the unit, the camera does not work, but as soon as I relocate my USB cables, it works again. Again, if I had to make a decision, I would have chosen the EP unit that was much cheaper. The number of triangles in a high resolution file is quite high, and this is really hard to work with on the computer, which means if you want to use the file in CAD programs like Fusion360 you will have to really reduce it.

We encountered an issue with the camera

The tech support team has been responsive, however (at least so Our scanner operated well for a while, but we did encounter a few issues. For example, the software is not yet up to the mark for reconstruction in full 3D. There are, however, few companies that are able to offer better software than most. As a whole, I would not describe the scanner as being unsatisfactory. A few minutes later, the scanner abruptly stopped working. The technician responded well to the issue (the item was still under warranty). Upon its arrival, the new unit will replace the old one. will keep this post updated if any new information comes to my attention.

This digital scanner is great

There is a great deal of accuracy in this product. I have been able to scan all of the things I have so far without any difficulties. Using this program is very easy.
