However, he claims that it was effective in filling in the gaps left by the mouse's multiple appearances. He said something about not needing the gloves, but I'm not sure if that was because he didn't read the instructions or what. br>br>Thank goodness there haven't been any mice yet! If you're currently on a mouse-catching binge, look it up and then pick up some real essence oil in Peppermint. Put it on cotton balls or mix it with water and spritz it around if it's real rather than fake or watered down. That was a big no-no for the mice. It seemed to deter them from taking their usual paths, which led right into the sticky catch paper line. I was spraying it around because I like the smell, so it could have been a coincidence.
We had some odd crevices in our garage where baseboards and other things didn't meet up, so this was a great option for deterring mice. Steel wool rolls are available. So, before finishing the molding, we could cut it to the exact length we needed to wedge it in these gaps. We had three mice appear (dead, sadly) in our garage in less than a week after years of not seeing any. We didn't have any more patience waiting for their brothers, sisters, or cousins to arrive. I'm not sure if the steel wool had anything to do with it. However, after using it and putting other deterrents in place, we have had no mice for the past month. Whew!.
Steel wool is one of my favorites. It's what I use to patch up holes under the sink, in the garage, and in the exterior tiles. Mice don't seem to like it and are unable to chew through it. Regain your sense of calm!.
I bought the steel wheel to fill in some gaps where I thought mice might be getting in. When I bought the steel wool, I expected it to be tough and difficult to work with in the few areas where I needed it. Instead, the steel wool was very soft and easy to work with when it came to filling in the gaps. They even gave me plastic gloves to protect my hands, which was a pleasant surprise. br>br>There have been no mice so far.
They sped past glue traps, even eating the pellets, and continued on their way. The last hooraa, I believe, was when they realized their escape hatchet had been covered in steel wool. I have yet to see them.
In the package, there were even gloves.
Steel wool was used to fill in the gaps in my camper, primarily under the sinks and in a few other spots. I grabbed a flashlight and went through the house, looking for any possible entry points. They're cunning little creatures, but I believe I've finally cracked their code. That's my hope.
It appears to be working. In fact, I got a lot more than I bargained for. Three packs, but one of them has a lot of material in it, which is nice; it was more than enough for my needs. And now I have enough to stop mice from entering the house through other openings. Using heavy kitchen shears, it's also simple to cut.
