GRADE 0000 Finest - This is the highest grade of steel wool we offer. Furniture, glass, and antique restoration projects benefit greatly from the use of this polish.

SUPERIOR QUALITY – A smooth cotton-like feel with no shavings and a very consistent fiber size throughout with improved fiber strength, low dust, and no oil residue.

- 0000 Steel Wool can be used to buff woodwork, remove old finishes, clean hard water stains from glass (but not scratches), polish chrome or metal (but not scratches). For improved results, combine with a solvent.

A continuous ribbon of 12" thick, 4" wide, and 125' long is a 5lb steel wool roll.

Will this steel wool scratch the surface of the glass?

Cleaning glass with this grade is quite common. br>However, I cannot guarantee that it will not scratch if you apply excessive pressure. Please use a cleaning agent that is liquid.

Is it completely devoid of oil?

It does not contain any oil.

For a flawless finish, pair it with a sanding block

I definitely received far more than I required, but using steel wool instead of individual pads was far superior. Using the roll allows you to cut a small strip of steel wool and attach it to a standard sanding block, just like sandpaper, and use it in the same way. I was able to get a lot more use out of the material and cover a lot more area by doing it this way rather than using the standard steel wool balls.
