It's sometimes combined with CLR liquid to remove scale and lime, and it's also effective on dirty glass. Unlike steel wool, which can scratch sensitive surfaces, bronze is soft and forgiving. br>br>The price of this product and the thinness of the pads are my two "cons. " This product, on the other hand, is a good alternative to 00000 steel wool for delicate surfaces. I hope this information is useful. br>br>PS - If you are looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innovative I was asked to rate the "warmth" of this bronze wool by Amazon. I'll keep you updated if I ever use it as insulation. (I'm joking, of course. ) Amazon's rating request is a wacky feature!.
This product makes polishing tarnished and discolored chrome a piece of cake. With metal polish, I used the fine grade on my exhaust tips to keep them looking new without scratching them. They were recently used to clean some stainless steel mufflers, and they now appear to be brand new. By the way, they're $6 at Home Depot, so don't pay $12 here.
This is what I use to wrap around the end of my RV's power cord where it comes out of the storage compartment. I tried steel wool because I had it on hand, but it quickly rusted, allowing bugs and even a mouse to enter through the small opening around the cord. This wraps, stuffs, and pulls apart easily to fill irregularly shaped openings, and mice despise it. It's always a good idea to keep some of this stuff on hand. It can be used for more than just cleaning and polishing.
My M1's inner receiver had a small rust stain on it. I sprayed some solvent on the Bronze Wool and got to work. br>Within minutes, the rust spot was gone, the receiver's steel was scratch-free, and it looked as good as the day I purchased it. br>This product is excellent for rust removal on steel, and I would purchase it again.
It removes rust from chrome without scratching it. br>It's fantastic.
I ordered fine and medium grade at first. There were two packages of fine in the mail. When I informed Amazon of my concerns, they assured me that a medium grade would be sent. A package containing fines arrived a few days later. I was planning on returning it, but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. So either the medium grade doesn't exist, or the person in charge of pulling the order doesn't know the difference between "FINE" and "MEDIUM. " Otherwise, I expect it to perform as expected if I had the medium grade. But, alas, I'm afraid I'll never know.
For two reasons, I adore bronze wool. The bronze does not rust, and it is the ideal grit for removing oxidation from a variety of surfaces. Motorcycles are my main focus!.
Removed light surface rust on a 70-year-old shotgun without scratching the surface of the bluing removal. This is something I would strongly recommend.
