Because it's rusted, you'll need to sand it down to bare metal to remove all of the rust. Then use acetone or a paint prep cleaner to clean the surface. After that has dried, apply your primer or color, if you're using one. Keep in mind that rust is similar to cancer. It will reform under the paint if you don't remove it completely before painting. Best wishes to you.
Yes, it pertains to knives.
Hello, fine sanding is usually done with high grit numbers.br>br>Thank you.

I'm working on a couple of chalk paint refinishing projects right now, and sponge sanding blocks work best for sanding crevices. This many sponges of varying grits would cost about three times as much in the store. I no longer have to wrap various grits of sandpaper around my sponges to achieve the desired grit. They're well-made and withstand repeated use. I appreciate being able to wash and reuse them when they become clogged. Working from heavy to fine grit, it's helpful to have the various grits clearly labeled on the ends of the sponges. They've met my expectations.
Wow. I was on the verge of purchasing sandpaper when I realized I'd made a mistake. after- That's why I came in the first place- to buy a line After that, I came across this. I'm sure I'd tear and rip my way through stacks of paper. Yes, they do wear out over time (hence the four stars), but man, these are fantastic. They've earned a spot in my toolbox.
Using all of them in order made it incredibly simple to get them super smooth. br>Even for someone like me who has small hands, they are simple and comfortable to hold. Overall, I'm pleased with them and plan to order more. If necessary, purchase.
Only soft grain woods are suitable for use. They don't have a consistent pattern when sanding anything else. The grain resists sanding, especially on the end grain, while the softer wood sands easily, resulting in a "hills and valleys" texture. This disappointed me because one of the advertised applications for this product is wood, which I believe is slightly misleading. This would probably work well with a variety of other materials - However, when it comes to wood, it falls short.
I've used them for a number of projects since then. An old kitchen table, chairs, and the floor have all been sanded down. They are excellent at what they do. The sponges are lightweight and simple to work with. You'll be able to keep a firm grip on them. The sponges are still undamaged and free of tears. Simply rinse them with warm water and lightly squeeze them when you're finished. It only took half an hour for the paint to dry. I would strongly advise people to purchase these!.
These are ideal for completing the body of a guitar. Their quality was perfect for me. They kept their grit and didn't lose any foam chunks. They were easily cleared of dust by wiping on a carpet pad when they became clogged. br>My only wish is for a finer grit to be included in the set.
These sanding blocks are both long-lasting and simple to work with. I can't tell the difference in quality between these and the 3M blocks because they're so much cheaper. I'll most likely continue to purchase these - This is far superior to regular sandpaper. br>br>I read some reviews where people said they couldn't tell the grits apart, but the grits are clearly labeled on the side of each block (which is hard to miss).
This set is ideal for my small and quick projects because it includes all of the grits I require. Grit is easily identifiable on the block's side, allowing me to grab and go. I put them all in a box and sorted them by grit level from heavy to light. Because the blocks are useful for getting into grooves and corners, they are very easy to use. It's unbeatable value for money!.
