It's the real deal from 3M. The burgundy colored pads are simply referred to as cubitron.
It will give the appearance of being brushed.
This is the coarsest Scotch you'll find. Pad that is british. It's closer to a hundred. 150
I used it to prepare rough firearms, tables, and other metal surfaces for painting. Also looks great on a rusted stainless sink. This is perfect for preparing a large turkey gun barrel.

Years ago, I should have purchased a box of these. I needed to scuff the door jams after redoing some paint work on a vehicle. I had previously used other products that didn't work as well or lasted as long as they should have. I used a small 2" strip that I cut off to scuff both door jams and a bunch of other small areas - It's still going strong and scuffs just as well as when I first cut it off the roll! This program is a huge time saver, and it comes highly recommended.
I was going to sand some metal surfaces before painting them, but a friend suggested these instead. I didn't have to take the paint all the way down to the metal; all I had to do was break the previous paint's surface. I'm quite taken aback by how well these operate. It also took the original paint down to the metal in some places, which is fine for what I'm doing.
Before bedlining my Jeep, I used to buff it to remove the shine. It was more than enough to use one sheet. They can be washed to remove sanding dust. I'll have the rest of the box for a long time, but I'm sure I'll start finding uses for it around the house.
It's great for pots and pans and won't scratch the non-scratch surfaces. br>I'll tell you what, I just use it for everything that needs to be scrubbed. It keeps for months in the kitchen. It retains its grit indefinitely. Carl extends his heartfelt gratitude. Dianne Carroll is a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
This product reduces preparation time by half and makes it simple to reach those hard-to-reach places.
I wanted to use this to apply a brush finish to a titanium bike frame in the style of a shoe shine. This is impossible because the perforations rip far too easily. Buying the larger 6x9 7747 pads and cutting two or three strips worked better for me. I'll keep this box for touch-ups for the rest of my life. kudos for the frame and use in general!.
It does the job and is very durable and effective. It is a good value for the money.
This would be useful if you were a professional, but I just like having it around.
