I finish a lot of furniture, and depending on the finish, I can sand it down to 1000 grit and then buff it with 3M Perfect It pads and buffing compound. This paper works just as well on metal as it does on paper. I recently repaired some hair pin legs that had been damaged in transit. It's less difficult to repair than it is to return - This paper is excellent for sanding between coats of polyurethane, particularly water-based polyurethane, which raises the grain of most wood. br>br> I've also used this sand paper on metal to achieve finer grinds, and it works well. I can adapt the paper to fit most of my hand block sanders or simply use it by hand. br>br>I'll also use the higher grits for a lacquer final finish that doesn't necessitate sanding in between coats. It all depends on the overall look I'm going for, which is usually satin. I applied 5 coats of water based poly to a granadillo live edge slab and sanded between coats with this sandpaper, as shown in the attached photo. The finish was then buffed. In comparison to my shop's multiple 6000 Kelvin LED lights, it's not as shiny as it appears in real light. br>br>This wet or dry sandpaper is reasonably priced and of good quality. I hope this information is useful.

You'll enjoy yourself. It is guaranteed to be of high quality. I'm not sure what the people who left negative reviews got, but I got exactly what I ordered. I would buy from this seller again and again simply because of the seller's honesty, durability, and large selection for such a low price. Sand paper is designed to get wet and rinsed frequently in order to remove any buildup of whatever you're sanding. Also, if you're going to use small strips or pieces of paper, write the grit on the back of the paper several times so you know what grit you're working with. It's easy to have labeled sand paper of excellent quality with a black sharpie back side 1000g written ten times. The knife in the photo was just sanded the day before. It's quite nice, and the typos have been corrected.

If you want to send something wet, stay away from junk. After two minutes, it simply falls apart.

I purchased these for two purposes: 1) wet sanding headlights and 2) removing paint from a truck grille. This sandpaper is a pain in the neck for both of them. When wet sanding, a film begins to form on the sandpaper, and the grit quickly dissipates. I was still able to finish the headlights, but the sandpaper is no longer usable. Then, while sanding a grille's paint off- I think I used about 30 sandpaper sheets. The grit would be washed away in a matter of seconds! Not to mention that the sandpaper leaves a thick gray dust on your hands that is difficult to remove, even with soap. In comparison to this, I used a soft drywall sanding block, which worked like a charm. Not to mention that I got it in a box that was tossed around haphazardly, outside of a cheap plastic bag, and rolled up, making it difficult to tell which grit it is.

For what you get, it's a great deal. The abrasive is applied in a very thin layer on this surface. When I saw that this paper allows light to pass through, I rolled my eyes. Having said that, for the price, it does a fantastic job. If you insist on separating your grits, this will irritate you.

I'm glad I'm here to help you. br>Step 1) greet your delivery person and compliment them on their workbr>Step 2) dash to the object you were planning on sanding and inform it that it is about to meet its makerbr>Step 3 remove sandpaper from packagebr>Step 4 walk to nearest trashcanbr>Step 5 throw the damn thing away and go get some decent sandpaper Many people believe that you get what you pay for. br>br> That adage has never been more true than it is now. With just two sandpaper brushes, you've reduced the sandpaper to plain paper. I understand that the good stuff is pricey, but you're essentially wasting your money and causing yourself to be frustrated.

The quality of the autobody paper is poor; it does not hold up well, and I will not purchase it again. If you want better paper, you'll have to pay a little bit more.
