It is dependent on the current surface - Use a 60 grit sandpaper for painted surfaces and a 40 grit sandpaper for stained surfaces, then prime and sand with a lighter grit smoother grit sandpaper, perhaps a 100 grit. To achieve a smoother flat surfacing technique, use block sanding techniques. br>br>Best of luck, have a good time, and take your time.
Yes. I use it with a palm sander that has a clamp model. There is a lot of overhang. It's quite effective.
Sand the resin with 120 grit sandpaper to begin. Before moving on to the next grit paper, make sure to sand all of the resin part's surfaces.
If your sander can handle 1/4-sheet (5. 5x4. It'll work at 5"). A standard sheet of sandpaper is 9 x 11 inches in size. From there, a quarter sheet is cut down. Of course, this means you can cut down full sheets to make your own 1/4 sheets. Although this is frequently less expensive, these pre-made items are not always of high quality. It's easier to cut sheets.

In the meantime, I looked on Amazon for something to do, and I came across Dura-Flex. Gold's product piqued my interest, so I decided to try it out. To be honest, I assumed it was just to get me through until my local store got more in stock. When I first opened the box, I was surprised to discover that the sheets were more like pads than sheets. My sander was entangled in the fuzzy fabric backing. They were incredibly simple to put on as a result. I didn't fidget with the clamps as much as I usually do. I started sanding. I usually stack a pile of wood that needs to be worked before getting to it, so I had no idea how many pieces I got through before my hand began to hurt. One single sheet sanded four times the amount of wood as usual. The wear can be seen in the photo I've included, but guess what? I'm still going to be able to make use of it. The sheet isn't ripping because of the fabric padding, so I can get a lot more use out of a single pad. I'm blown away. Dura- My new supplier is gold. I would strongly suggest it!.
I would buy these in a heartbeat again. I bought these to sand the door frames and baseboards that are covered in paint on our 1885 farmhouse. These lasted a long time and left the original wood in great shape. They've performed admirably, and I anticipated that I'd need the entire box for our dining room, but I only used half of it.
During my purchase of a Skli Palm Sander, Amazon recommended this product as an add-on item. None of these four sheet sizes will fit into the Skill palm sander's clamping mechanism. The sander sheet size required for the Skil palm sander has been discussed in several reviews. I'm not sure why this product is recommended and comes as part of a package deal. Although Amazon reviews must be approved before being published, and some of the sander reviews are quite old, no one has yet corrected the error of recommending these sanding sheets. Returns are costly, and returning these sheets makes no sense because the problem is well-known. Even the included Skil sample sanding sheets are incompatible with their sander. The recommendations for Dura Gold sanding sheets should be removed from the Skil palm sander product page's recommended accessories. This is the last time I'm going to buy something based on a recommendation.
3 stars - The sandpaper has a Velcro type adhesive on top and sandpaper on the bottom (of course), but unfortunately, the'sandpaper' doesn't hold up to sanding wood edges; most of the sanding properties come unglued from the surface when doing serious sanding. br>br>Overall, an average sandpaper product; it sands, but not to the industrial standards that I require.
sandpaper in various grits, in sheet form Package also fits perfectly into my sander bag, allowing me to keep all of my tools together and close at hand when using my sander. br>Variety ranges from light coarse to fine; tough backing stands up to wear and tear - After finishing a project with multiple curves, peaks, and valleys, I removed a piece from the sander and sanded it by hand. br>Will buy again without a doubt!.
This sandpaper is what I use to sand my turned bowls. I cut out 2" circles slightly larger than needed so I could get a nice corner sand; the paper is also very pliable and easy to work with by hand. When using a power sander, loops are held in place. I would purchase this item again. I loaned 600 grit to a friend who was building a guitar, and he raved about how good the paper was for fine sanding. It's a great deal to get the variety pack.
When I go to Home Depot, I see "quality" pads that are incredibly thin and break off the sander before they've even worn out. br>br>These pads, on the other hand, are of extremely high quality, with velvet or something similar on the back to prevent them from ripping away like the Home Depot crap. This product and its quality have exceeded my expectations.
