Questions & Answers
This machine was made to work on car bodies and fenders. The main reason for its creation was to be able to remove "bondo," which is epoxy, from sandpaper without damaging it. It will work well if you wet the sandpaper before beginning to sand and wet it frequently to clean it.
It will work on plastic; simply use finer grits and a lot of water to clean the sandpaper of the plastic, which will accumulate on the paper if not cleaned in water on a regular basis.
For that, it'll suffice. To remove the aluminum from the sandpaper, use the product wet and wet if necessary.

This sandpaper is great for repairing headlight lenses that have fogged up and turned yellow over time. I begin with a 180 or 240 grit paper. To sand with, I rip one of these sheets in half and then fold it again. I've got a small bucket of clean water with a dash of Dawn dish soap in it for lubrication. I rinse the lens after wetting it and sanding it in one direction until it is completely sanded. I then switch to about 400 grit and repeat the process, then 1000 grit, 2000 grit, and finally 3000 grit. To avoid gouging scratches in the lens, I don't sand too hard with the coarser grits. After the 3000 grit, I thoroughly clean the lens and then polish it with a polishing compound on a small foam buffing wheel attached to my drill, going over it several times until it is as clear as new lenses. After that, I thoroughly clean the lens with soap and water before allowing it to dry completely. After that, I apply a UV-protective clear coat to the lens. I apply light coats and wait until each is almost dry before applying another light coat. Typically, three light coats are sufficient to completely cover the lens and restore its pristine appearance!.
Go to a home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowe's. This isn't very good.
I used it to wet sand a 3 x 13" epoxy resin pour I did for a small project. These worked well, could withstand wet sanding, and were available in a variety of "grit" levels ranging from rough to almost smooth. I sanded them with a sanding block by hand. I would not hesitate to place another order.
These in particular are a great value for what you get; they're durable and have outlasted previous ones I've purchased; and I always make sure to let them dry flat before storing them for future use, which seems to extend their life.
The strips are cut a little awkwardly, but I'm using them by hand; I'm not sure if they're meant to be used by machine. They have a large selection of grit, all of which are clearly labeled with the grit size. It's a high-quality piece of paper. works on sanding my projects that are in need of sanding.
Pros: Lots of different grits for a low pricebr> br>Each grit should have multiple papers. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. Not a long-lasting product. Because of the extent of the damage to the papers I used for my project, I had to throw them away. However, because I was using these on metal, their durability may have been compromised.
This sandpaper is excellent for any project because it has a step-down grade of paper, so when you finish one, simply move on to the next grade. This eliminates the guesswork in determining which paper to use. purchase, purchase, purchase!.
This is a product that I wholeheartedly endorse.
