It's abrasive enough to remove material, but it's still too coarse to be polished. On metal, it will become mirror-like, but on plastics and the like, you'll need to go even finer, which I used to do with crocus cloth. However, any deep scratch or scuff may be hidden beneath the formica's print pattern, so a test on an unseen part of the piece may be necessary. As a first attempt, or to follow the 1000 grit, use a gentle rubbing compound like that used on car finishes. In any case, proceed with caution.
It can be applied to any surface. Results may vary, but if you know what you're doing, everything should go smoothly.
Yes, but you'll need to start with a few rougher grit papers, such as 100, 220, 320, 600, and then 1,000 grit. It only takes a few minutes for each and saves a significant amount of time in the long run.
When it comes to polyurethane application, it certainly can. It's still a little finer than you'll need, in my opinion.

It's something I've had for a long time, but it only became noticeable after menopause. No cure. I used the prescribed steroid creams and discovered that they caused other unpleasant skin problems, such as acne. During WWII, I read that women shaved their legs with fine sandpaper. br>With this type of dermatitis, the peeling and flaking of your skin is excruciating. I needed to do something because I worked with the public and couldn't stand how things were looking. I bought this very fine grade wet/dry sandpaper after remembering the WW2 story. Every morning, I cut it into strips, fold them up, and gently brush away the flakes. So far, so good; it works like a charm; however, be careful not to overdo it and peel your skin off completely. Along with Cerave Night Cream, I've been using Noble Formula Pyrithione Zinc lotion, which appears to be helpful, albeit not a complete fix.
I sanded down a stain on a cultured marble countertop with sandpaper. I used a white polishing compound to finish the surface, which made it very smooth. My daughter requested that I repeat the process on the rest of the countertop, which had light scratches from years of use.
I couldn't find it locally in hardware stores, as I have with many other items recently, so I had to order it. I've been working on some tool and part restorations, some of which are over 40 years old and rusted. I've already polished a few tools, returning them to their former glory, and I'm only on my first sheet of sand paper.
After reading reviews of other less expensive brands that didn't sound appealing, I decided to get the 3M sandpaper. The old adage goes that you get what you pay for, and when it comes to sandpaper, this is certainly true. I love how long this sandpaper lasts and how high-quality it is. My woodwork stands out because of its high quality.
This product is fantastic, and I use it to make Soft Pastels on.
br>Worked well when wet sanding the Clear Coat with water and a few drops of dish detergent to create a slippery surface. br>Extremely quick delivery. Thank you very much!.
This sandpaper is fantastic. Although it is a little more expensive than other options, the quality is well worth the money. It outlasts some other brands of the same grit by a significant amount.
Water is a good choice. After that, polish the surface with a drill pad. br>br>When nothing else works, this will remove sun oxidation from a boat's paint. When rubbing again, use water. There's no need to exert too much force.
