At all. Anything can be applied. This is the WORST sticky back sanding roll I have ever purchased from a company that is known for adhesives. I had four different brands in the shop and wondered what I was missing out on by purchasing "budget" items, but it turns out I wasn't missing out on anything. On other budget brands, I'll gladly save up to $10 per roll.
For example, a sanding stick made at home. BUT IT WAS WORTH THE ADDITIONAL COST.
Nothing irritates me more than adhesive sandpaper that separates when I try to remove it. It never works out like that. It cuts well and is not easily loaded.
I'm working with a 17 1/2-inch line sander from Harbor Freight. Precut sanding sheets are costly, but I can cut a strip from this roll and use it on the sander for a fraction of the price. The sticky back ensures a secure grip on the sander. This is without a doubt the best route to take.
a sander for lines br>br>Though more expensive than alternatives (such as most 3M products), it is well worth it. I guarantee it will save you more time and effort than the additional cost of the product.
This paper was purchased to replace another brand. This paper has a much better backing, which looks more like fabric than paper. Even when wet, this product performs admirably.
As a drywall finisher, I was looking for an alternative to sanding sponges for any hand sanding that was required. I discovered semi-ridged sponge blocks for sanding auto body compounds in the auto body section. I bought the Stik-It block and the Stik-It Stik-It Stik-I For the sanding sponges, it sandpaper worked perfectly. The sand paper will last at least twice as long as a sponge, and with 25 yards of paper, I should be able to recoup my investment quickly, plus I'll have a better sanding system. 3-Amazing item.
Too sticky, and it leaves a layer of gum on my sanding board and pads.
