Selected User Reviews For Mercer Industries 187010 Crimped Wire Wheel, 4" x 1/2" x 5/8"-11, For Angle Grinders
In this tool, wires are not folded and crimped tightly as with other wheels. This causes wires to be shed even when it is gently used. As a result of using this wheel while wearing a shirt that was lighter in fabric, the wire became embedded in both In the latter case, tweezers were required to pull it out because it was so deep. In general, the bristles of better designed/crimped wheels wear down and do not come loose, as they often do with full-length Buyers beware, this wheel is not for the faint of heart.
It is stiff enough to knock off surface rust, but, at the same time, is flexible enough to manage and avoid metal damage. Neither the strands nor the adhesive are falling out even when used frequently (almost one or two per use is normal).
It is too late for me to return since the female threads don't fit my machine. I got sick and then by the time I was well again, it was too late to return. That means I have to purchase a new paperweight.
Spit a retaining ring, a round of wire bristles and a round of retaining rings When I ordered the grinder, I was sure it would operate at a speed faster than mine, but it never got up to speed and could only run at a maximum speed of two (out of five). My plans are to buy a pickup magnet and spend a little time sweeping the bricks and putting the wires in order so the kids can walk around the.
Wear gloves and eyeglasses while working, it's great for rust, it lasts as long as most if not longer.
I cleaned it well and the wires remained intact after I cleaned them.
Buying this was a good decision.
