I'd say it's pretty close to 3/4 inch across the face, and yes, it's flat as well.

Previously, I used HD house brand wire wheels that were only lasting one to two weeks until I decided to order these. Our facility rebuilds heavy truck differentials, transmissions, and drive shafts, so we use all sorts of wire wheels to clean surfaces, remove gaskets, etc. I can't believe the difference, these wire wheels are better than anything we've ever used in the last 25 years, and the cost is about the same as our local big box store, so they are definitely worth the wait.
Looks thicker than the ones I was looking at in the store, fits snug, seems well made. I haven't used it much, but it seems well made. The price is reasonable, and I am satisfied with the product.
The 8 inch wheel, which is fairly well balanced, does shift out of balance at high speeds since the 8 inch wheel is fairly well balanced. durable and the wires stay in place and based on what I have seen so far, it will last a long time.
Under the guise of a "good" name, junk is being sold. When I received the one I ordered, the center section was not in the middle. I fired up the bench grinder just to check, and it did precisely what I expected it to do, and it walked That grinder I bought with my bench grinder was a lot cheaper than this one. I would eventually stop using this one if the bearings in the grinder were exposed to all that punishment. My attempts to return mine will be successful.
The wire wheel is pretty good at its job. The bristles don't come loose and fly off a lot, and there is a good amount of density. A nice fit on my Hercules variable speed grinder, I use it a lot. This will last for quite a while, in my opinion.
Because there is a discrepancy in the length of some of the wires, only 4 stars. We'll have to use an angle grinder to dress the area. The quality of Forney could have been better.
