On a wire wheel, it's about 3/4" Hard for an exact measurement. I couldn't be happier because it was perfect for my bench grinder.
All this is referring to is the wide-face model within the same product line, and this has nothing to do with any other wheels It is difficult to Google and is not something you can easily find! It is as per the customer service line of the company.
I would like to know the weight of the 72750 wire wheel. It's bam bam

As you can see from the attached picture of the two laying side-by-side, the difference between a wide and a narrow is so minute that you can't tell them apart. Inquiring with Forney customer service, I was informed that this is the case. They responded very promptly by saying asked the Product Line Manager about your question. He confirmed that one is just a little thicker than the other. " There should also be a noticeable difference in density between the wide-face and narrow-face wheel when you squeeze the wires. She also said that once you start using the wheel, you'll notice a difference.
I gave back a Forney, but it wasn't my own! After mounting the wire brush, I got everything centered on my vintage Dayton grinder and turned the motor on. The wheel is perfectly balanced, there is no shaking of the motor housing at all. As I removed some rust from an old barn hinge, I took my time, and the wires on this brush wheel do not begin to crack or flare out, and there are no wires at present that are breaking off or shooting everywhere. As a result, I will continue to use this brand. I would give it six stars if I could.
A YouTube video led me to purchase this, and I've used it with my porter cable bench grinder 6 inch. I haven't needed any shims, and I'm happy with how it works. My wife's chevy cruze had the brake pads replaced and this was the bolt cleaning solution that I used. Locktite was applied either in blue or yellow on all the bolts. However, this wheel took care of that issue in no time. In addition to locktite, the lug bolts were also secured.
As I read reviews before purchasing the WEN 6 inch bench grinder, there were some complaints about how fitting the forney wire wheel, which is listed as a "frequently bought together" item, was a problem. Since it looked a little thicker, I bought this instead. It seems that this one fits the bill There is no need for shims or spacers.
I mounted this wheel on my 30+ year old Craftsman grinder with a 1/2" arbor. It works perfectly. It is easy to adjust the collar with the supplied snaps.
Even though the wires are thick, they are not overly thick. It has plenty of flex to allow it to reach corners and rounded areas. We used it for 10 minutes to remove surface rust from an old pair of pliers and, as far as we could tell, there was no wire coming I was pleased with how well it worked. My grinder will not see this much use, but it seems well made, and I expect it to last for many years to come. It is recommended.
In the house, my husband buys things that I do not know what he will use.
There's a small amount of vibration with this wheel as opposed to the coarse wheel, but I can live with that.
For several months, I have been buying this instead of the cheap ones I was buying from Harbor Freight and it has lasted much longer and hasn't thrown as many wires as the cheap ones.
