Questions & Answers
A polisher of this kind is compatible with the DWP849
The twist bits seem like they'd be painted with nail polish, wouldn't they?
The DEWALT threaded connecting rod is not suitable for this task.
If you use a polishing type grinder, you might find the brush is much too much. The maximum speed that can be achieved on your grinder/polisher is 3500 rpm. It might be better to use a smaller brush or a non-powder brush It may be best to use a knotted or crimped wire brush.

This tool can be adapted to fit all grinders and polishers with a 5/8-11 thread. My work experience has been in metal fabrication and manufacturing for many years and I have never seen a wire brush as durable Pulling the trigger on this bad boy will have you hanging on for dear life. We will update the review in accordance with its original content. I think it is a little pricey. It was great when I first bought it, but since then it has developed a vibration that keeps getting worse. Given its size, it is more of a massage for my hands than anything else. The ad feels like it is going to blow up, so I only use it when I have my smaller 4 with me. It is not enough to have a 5" cup. These are the tools that I use every day to clean dross off of CNC plasma cut parts. I have since learned that the wobble I was feeling with this cup installed was in fact a problem with my grinder itself, which only manifested when this wheel was installed. With time and continued use, the vibration became worse. I noticed grease backing out of the screws on the gear housing I tightened those using loctite and the problem stopped. It was only a few minutes ago that I ordered another one of these.
It did a great job. In my case, it was used on a metal trailer bed on which an extra thick spray-on bedliner had been applied. Any wires that were exposed did not seem to be a problem. In spite of using it very hard for a couple hours, the wire cup brush looks like it hardly got used. If it is as durable as it seems, I will be able to use it for many more years.
We bought this to remove glue from cement that was left over from removing carpet. Our use of it was limited to just a couple hours each time, and it has since become obsolete. The more you use it, the more worn out it becomes! The wire rope is not tapered down the center of the cup as I had assumed, rather, it is just on the outermost edge. My recommendation would not be to purchase or recommend it in the future.
It's really powerful. Not only will it remove all the nasty stuff on a metal surface, but it will also remove the metal itself. If you don't be careful, you may even get burnt. I haven't used it for long enough to say for sure if it is durable or not. I have given it 4 stars. Then you should do this if you possess the strength to do so.
Everything seems to be okay.
I found this brush to be very effective and it worked great.
