I professionally clean kitchen equipment. A variety of tools and techniques are used by me to restore ovens, grills, and stoves in restaurants to close to their original state. Hard carbon residue has always been one of the most difficult tasks with which I've had to deal when cleaning iron stove burners. Despite all that I do to scrape, scrub, and soak them in degreaser, all of it does not usually suffice. It is possible to use a wire brush on an angle grinder, but it is cumbersome and makes a big mess. Considering the price is significantly less than other brands, I expected these brushes to fall apart within minutes, as their quality seemed to be so high. I have used them on several jobs so far, and so far they have done a great job in cleaning hardened grease without wearing too much. My expectations for their performance have been exceeded at least for my purposes.

They came in handy when I needed to scrub rust off my brake rotors. I used them with my hex impact and it got right through the rust. I was also able to use them with my cheap black and decker drills. They looked fine, but I haven't used them Hex shanks and ease of use with my impact drill are both very important to me. The box for packaging is also heavy and I like that. It's easier to keep them inside than in a bix since I won't get cut just opening it.

What's the deal with the brass coating? A piece of brass I was working on was destroyed. I'm not buying this. It's too abrasive and there's no way it is brass-coated. If it is, the brass coming off immediately and it won't work on softer metals (as the brass coating would have you.

A good brush and wheel kit at a good price. This product does exactly what you need it to do at a better price than most others. It is nothing special, but it gets the job done well. The quality of the product is fairly good.
