Precision made solid aluminum body wheels, 8" diameter by 1" wide, with CBN on the face and 1/4" sides. For shafts up to 5/8 inch.

Designed for use with slow speed 8 inch bench type grinders; 1800 RPM or 3600 RPM; now includes four precision ground washers to aid in wheel positioning on arbor shaft.

It will never need to be dressed or trued. Because the wheel diameter remains constant, you won't have to adjust your jig as often.

Only use with tools made of high-speed steel (HSS).

Note that the tolerences on these wheels are extremely tight. The arbor hole has been cut to a precise size. The measurement is 6254 inches. Many grinding motors have a shaft that is not as percise and may be slightly larger than. 625 inch. An interfearance fit will result as a result of this. A small amount of emery cloth on the shaft will aid in the installation of the wheel.

Questions & Answers

My delta grinder isn't compatible with this. The wheel will not be held securely with the nut all the way in. What are your thoughts on this?

Will these work with the Bucktool 8-in-1? inch bench grinders, especially the tds-series, 200ds?

They'll fit on that grinder, but you'll probably need some 5/8" washers to space the wheels so they clear the backside and the shaft nut can tighten properly.

My grinder can't use the CBN Hub because it's too narrow

To sharpen my woodturning tools, I purchased this CBN wheel. My Rikon is slow-moving. The speed grinder is designed for 1" wide wheels with 1" wide hubs, which have a narrower hub and require more washers than the two washers included in the kit. Because the nut on the shaft ran out of thread before it could tighten up against the hub washer, it was unable to do so.
