Advanced Material: The CBN grinding wheel has a much higher hardness than ordinary abrasive, implying that it has a much stronger and sharper cutting ability. It offers more benefits in the processing of ferrous metals than diamond grinding wheels.

This sharpening wheel can be used to grind and polish a wide range of products, including woodturning tools, high manganese steel, alloy steel, chilled cast iron, high hardness, and soft and tough materials, allowing you to meet the majority of your daily needs.

Universal Match: Designed for use with 8-inch bench-type grinders at 3600RPM (Maximum), works great on Bucktool bench grinders TDS-200DS and TDS-200C4HL, but can also be used with other brands' 8-inch bench grinders with no restrictions.

User Experience: When sharpening high-speed steels, the grinding wheel not only has a higher wear resistance and is easier to shape than ordinary abrasives, but it also achieves cool cutting with much less heat generation.

Is it compatible with the bucktool scm8080 wet/dry sharpener? If not, does the scm8080 have a diamond wheel?

Thank you for choosing Bucktool, dear customer. The SCM8080 sharpener does not accept CBN grinding wheels. The adaptive CBN wheel is missing from the SCM8080 sharpener.

It's a step up from the Oxide Wheel

I was a little disappointed because there was some run out; it wasn't a lot, but I wasn't expecting it. It doesn't wobble nearly as much as my oxide wheel and won't fall apart, which is a plus. For something made in China, it's a bit pricey. It was well-packaged and didn't have the typical China garbage smell. I'll be happy if it lasts a long time, and if there are any issues, I'll update it.

Cuts with a lot of force

At 1700 and 3400 rpm, the blades have a well-balanced aggressive cutting action. I purchased 80 grit and 600 grit sandpaper, but I mostly use 600 to sharpen my lathe tools. (The first sharpening/shaping is done with the 80 grit. ).

In my shop, this is the most useful tool

I installed this wheel on a refurbished belt-driven grinder and am very pleased with the quality and versatility it offers. I've used it for tungsten sharpening, plexiglass shaping, rivet head grinding, cutting thin stainless rod, and a variety of other tasks. I've never made a better investment in my life.

It appears to be of a high standard

Despite its high price, I believe this is of decent quality. The only way to find out is to wait. After a few years of intermittent (not daily) use, the previous one (made by a different company) delaminated. I assumed that by purchasing the item, I would be able to avoid having to replace it in the future. Perhaps I should reconsider my decision.
