My wheel has a diameter of six inches. Thank you, David W., for the one-inch wide x one-inch wide x one-inch wide x one- Rider
It worked on a smaller grinder, even though the wheel was a little wide. It works well for me on cardide bits.
Carbide tools are sharpened with a green wheel. An aluminum oxide wheel might be able to help you out.

I am capable of cutting carbide - That's why I bought it in the first place. The wheel, however, is visibly marked after a trial run. The wheel does not spin true, which I believe is due to the presence of plastic bushings in the center. As a result, there is a lot of vibration. I hoped that by spending a little more money, I would be able to get a better deal. I'm thinking about machining a custom aluminum bushing to see if that helps.
NEED A BETTER DESCRIPTION I found this by searching for an 8" wheel and ordered it, but it was returned as a 6" wheel rather than an 8" wheel.
Tungsten sharpening is a breeze with this tool.
It's the first time I've ever sharpened carbide. The 1/2 x 1/2 inch straight, left and right type teeth are used in my new (used) stump grinder. This wheel was used on a bench grinder with a constant stream of water. It took about an hour to do all nine teeth, but it was time well spent. When it was over, I was a shambles, but it had been well worth it. When I was finished, my teeth were razor sharp.
a little. Carbide grinding takes a long time because it fills up with material. Because of the constant cleaning, it appears to load up quickly and wears out quickly. Out of whack to the extreme.
MUCH TOO SOFT WEARS YOU OUT QUICKLY.
I was expecting bushings as described in your description, but when I opened the box, I realized I'd have to make my own. The wheel, however, is fine and does the job. When ordering from Amazon, I'll be more cautious.
Re-sharpening carbide cutting tools with this wheel is simple and effective.
