There is a fit, but the tolerances are VERY close to being out of specification. To insert both ends of the hose, you will have to use more force than the OEM part, but if you are careful, Plastic and wire on the new part appear to be thicker and sturdier I suppose it is a bit pricey for a chunk of plastic, but it is a common problem It is good to know that there are replacement parts available so you don't have to throw out a perfectly good machine, which is becoming less common.

This was delivered today and I was pleased to see how new and sturdy it seemed. When I tried to attach it, it wouldn't work. Although the handle side clicked in right away, it was challenging to keep the hose As far as I can see, the clip parts that should go into place look identical to the original, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't actually click into place. The wand is the only part of the vacuum that I am bothered about coming off when I use it, so it might not do the job. But let's Due to messy kids, we vacuum pretty much every day.

Now, I have my shark for over 4 years and it is still as strong as it has ever been. Thanks to my research, I didn't replace a perfectly good vacuum before I realized this was the case. This is an easy to install program. No instructions were necessary for my 13-year-old to do it in less than five minutes. The item I purchased cost more than $50. As a whole I bought my vac when it was brand new for under $220, I do think $50 is a bit pricey but it still costs less than buying a brand new one.
