It took 1 minute to install. I did not need to make it a much more complicated installation because however it includes the swivel elbow that is connected to the vacuum, you can simply replace the hose if that is the only thing that needs to be changed. The cons are Replacement of a three year old hose is a lot to pay for something that came apart for no reason other than normal wear. The cost of these Miele vacuums makes this process a disappointment, considering the cost of these vacuums.
The device has been frequently used for five years. There is a short warranty on all accessories from Miele, but I'm glad I was able to find a replacement for it. Simple to replace and remove. For the upright position of the cat and dog. It is an original equipment manufacturer.
Unfortunately, the hose on our expensive Miele vacuum split and effectively rendered it useless. After ordering the new hose, I had the old one out in less than a minute, and I installed the new one in the same manner. It is easy to remove the old hose by twisting it where it attaches to the base and pulling it apart, then snap in the new hose.
I attempted to fix the hose once by adding a coupler but debris would always get caught in the hose, reducing suction substantially. However it did not hold up to more than one or two uses after removing the hose from its built-in handle. The hose has a lousy design and the vacuum itself is a bit.
Sad to see that the original hose from the 7000 series is beginning to fall apart. I was very pleased with how cost-effective this OEM replacement was, and how easy it was to install. As well as the swivel base that attaches to the vacuum head near the machine - it was a bundle deal - It is something I did not need, but keep just in case I need it.
The Miele Cat and Dog U1 vacuum is less than 2 years old and I have had to replace the Hose three It was originally covered under warranty and the repair shop said it has been having issues for quite some time. In the interim, a new hose had to be purchased, and Miele sent a replacement after getting in touch with them. If they would just resolve the quality issues with the Hoses, I would be much happier. The fact that the vacuum starts to break down before it's even a year old isn't fair to customers who have to spend over $600 on a vacuum. My favorite aspect of the vacuum is that the hose does not work. My favorite feature of the light is its brightness. The only vacuum I will buy from now on is one with lights on it!.
It is easy to install, and it is I had tried duct tape on the old hose for about a year, but it didn't work. Approximately a month later, there was another crack near the first, one that was held together by duct tape. The phase is over and I am relieved.
It was necessary to replace the hose because duct tape covering the holes in it had broken. Purchase of an old vacuum is cheaper than buying a new one. The model came with a few spare parts that would not fit my vacuum, so I threw them out.
