It came with a male connector to connect to a power nozzle I bought on line.

Your rainbow is a model, what is it? A D series might suit this, but my E2 is older than 2003 and this will not work. As you can see in the picture, it looks like the right hose, but the one in the picture isn't the one you receive.

There is a difference between this and an original hose, this one is darker and softer. I am glad I found it though! I have my old Rainbow E series from early 2000s and it works just fine with it. In any case, I was surprised to find parts for it for such a low price. My purchase has been very satisfactory.
The shape and size of the switch are much larger than in the original design, but overall, the quality is almost the same as that of the original. (On/Off) control is much more difficult because this is making it difficult to work. As you work, you have to grip the handle tightly. In this case, you should always operate the vacuum while the switch is On. At first, the vacuum control switch was sized like my index finger to make it possible to operate it comfortably. As a result, my four fingers sit on the switch and I have to keep the vacuum running all the time since my entire hand is on the switch. It is very inconvenient. In all other respects, this unit looks and works virtually identical to the I think it is quite pricy for a chip design of this type.

You can get it in 2000! It was around 2000 that I purchased a Rainbow. Upon further inspection, I discovered the trigger was broken. I found this to work There were R-shaped markings on the nozzle at the end of my old hose.
One of the first E-mail addresses I got was mine There was a Rainbow machine for sale at one time. During my last visit to the machine, the hose coupler It has lasted more than 20 years, but the plastic tabs are not durable. For more than $30, I bought a "repair" kit, which I have not been able to successfully repair. This replaces the original perfectly. It is a little hard to replace attachments when the button isn't easily accessible. I needed to replace an old original that was about 20 years old. Otherwise, just what I needed!.
As always, Amazon was an excellent place to find a replacement for my broken hose at a great price. I even think this hose is slightly longer than my original, which is great to know. I also received my order in a timely manner. Happy with how things went.
