I ordered this extension hose to replace the old one on my DC28 Animal. It was an affordable replacement. It appears to be an identical reproduction of the original parts in both material and quality. Price wise, I thought it to be a very good deal.
In addition, the cap does not "click" when inserted in vacuum, so I was on the fence whether the cap was inserted completely and worried that it would break. I still love it though because it works so well. top sleeve appears to have a bit more material than a Dyson tube and sometimes I have to use my finger to move it into place to put back the hose and wand.
In almost 10 years, I've had my Dyson DC28, but over the years I noticed the suction gradually dwindled until one day it stopped working As I took the hose out, I found a 2 inch tear that had formed.
