Hi, no this part will not work on DC65 you will In version 01, its design is completely different and there is a screw which must be inserted.
It will not fit in the dc50 because it is smaller. The correct one
The vacuum should be turned over on the Take the red top of the hose and pull it straight up this will allow it to come loose. Push the red tab on the other end with your screwdriver to secure it. On the bottom of the unit, you will find the tab. In order to replace, you will need to push the tab end into the hole until it clicks in. Slide the other end into the slot after extending the hose. It's all done now.

Our Dyson Cinetic Animal Allergy upright had just what we needed. The internal hose was a little difficult to put back on, but once we did, the vaccum's suction was much better than before. An internal hose I ordered lasted about a year, and now I'll be ordering another one.

A Dyson can be easily repaired and parts can be easily replaced.
When I ordered the first time, I ordered the wrong part, but when I realized it was the proper part that needed replacement, I was able to order it much cheaper on Amazon later. I did not need any tools to install the hose after I received it, and it came with instructions, so it was easy to do. For anyone in need of this product, I would absolutely recommend.
