It's probably the dumbest question ever Would the hose connect to the vacuum already via the hose on the machine? Not sure if I should add more length, so as to keep my balance?

One of the ones connected to the power source had to be replaced. Since they are the same size you probably wouldn't need a smaller hose since they are the same size.

Can you tell me what type of extension hose you recommend? Would you mind telling me what I have to do with my ?

Weight is not an issue with this vacuum. Additionally, it works great even on carpet for floors and carpet for all needs, even your car.
