What brand of filter is this? Is this Miele filter made by Miele? Is it normal for 1 filter to cost $50?

The filter I purchased last year cost me around $50 as well. There are no obvious flaws in this picture. The model numbers on the new vacuum models are different from the old ones. Perhaps they have reduced the price of something they will not be selling any more. What a pity!

This is a genuine Miele filter at a fantastic price! Prices range from $35 to $50 for these You can purchase vacuums online for about 45 cents per unit or at a vacuum shop for more. You can get them for just $22 here. It is my second time ordering and I have had no problems.

It's described as being a "Miele SF-5" filter on Amazon It features a HEPA filter that's active for 50 minutes. The statement is clearly untrue. There is NO ACTIVE component, that is, it is fully paper-based and does not use any type of mechanism A cassette with charcoal on it. According to the product information on Miele's website, no such information is contained, so I ought to have relied on that information, Check if the "activated-" box is present if that's what you are looking for - I'm not sure where to look in Amazon's description, I'm in the manufacturer's data.

This seems to be highly effective at controlling dust

These things are not cheap, but they seem to work well. Since I stopped sneezing when vacuuming, it has been much better. A few months' worth of changes is all that is needed. This vacuum cleaner is a good product.

I find the price a bit excessive, even if they do work well. There is no risk involved in installation. It is unnecessary to have a time to change indicator, according to me.
