Miele Vacuum Cleaner Active HEPA Filter 315606 SF-HA30 MIE1003 [MIE1003]

I have dogs and allergies (I know, I know) so I have a HEPA filter on In spite of an average level of dog cleanliness, the smell is saved and multiplied by the filter. Thus, after about 2 hours, we have this. The smell of dog hair puts me to sleep after 5 months. (My Miele vacuum blows out stinky dog smells after a few months of using it. Forced air was used to try and blow out the smell from the other side but my efforts were in vain. I replace this filter every two months, not every four This is, in my opinion, only two stars since those first two months of clean air are wonderful, but at $50, it isn't great value for money. It's pretty much like getting 4 months out of a $50 HEPA filter, since I found a genuine one for half price on Amazon. For $50, if the HEPA filter lasted at least 6 months it would make it a 5 star item as I was told by the place I bought it that it should last 6 months This does not include any holidays.

As soon as I installed this filter after having just used a HEPA filter that was * 8 months old, I was able to smell dust right after vacuuming. Immediately after removing the old filter, the odor started to dissipate. Now that the new filter is in place, there was a dust odor. I am unsure of what the deal is with this filter, but either it is Seal concern), or has a problem with its seal. The last time I bought from Amazon was several years ago.

In the first case of the Miele vacuum cleaner I used the HEPA filter, I could clearly tell when it needed changing. I have not done this in either of my next two (this will be my third). Since the grate that goes over the filter cannot be closed all the way with the filter installed, I seriously questioned whether I had the correct filter. The filter I was looking for in my manual is the right one.

Despite being extremely sensitive to smell, my sense of taste is not. When I vacuumed with this filter installed, I noticed a significant improvement. The charcoal one I had been using for years was replaced by this one. I imagine it gives some peace of mind here, in Southern California, where the skies are smoky for weeks on end.

It is recommended that the Miele HEPA filter be replaced at least once a year. It is the exact filter that my Miele Salsa is in need of. Miele products are a perfect fit, since they are made by the company.
