I have an open walled house in Hawaii, with louvre-type windows, so I must use FQ cones to protect it. The Filter Queen keeps the carpet and hardwood floors clean by removing dust from outside. The winds are always carrying dust into the house. As I change the filters, I can see that the filters stop the dust from floating in the air. Because the engine has been running for years with no signs of needing service, it is likely that the engine filter is doing its job. In addition, since these cones filter out 95% of airborne particles, they can function as filters for cloth face masks all you need to do is create a template and cut it out in the correct size. On average, I get at least 6 face mask filters out of each cone (depending on the size of the mask).
