I wouldn't recommend it because mine was defective. When the pots are stacked correctly, they seem to slide off. To use it, I must turn it upside down. I'd look for a stainless steel one that works well, like the one my friend has, especially if you plan to leave it on the stove.
This item only includes the pan organizer and does not include any pans.
My freestanding cast iron pan rack has six cast iron pans. You should start with the largest pans and work your way up. It's incredibly reliable and efficient.

These are just what I needed to get my pots and pans organized. Very sturdy, prevents damage to pans by not stacking them on top of one another, and makes retrieving a pan much easier. I bought three of these and used them to raise the shelf in the cabinet; they fit perfectly. Because I keep the upper shelf in the cabinet for lids, I only use the top of the racks for griddles. They come with mounting hardware, but I didn't use it because I didn't want them to become too top heavy. I'm getting one for my cast iron skillets, which will most likely need to be secured because of their weight.
For Christmas, I asked my husband to get me a cast-iron skillet. He purchased all of Lodge's products for me. Lol. As a result, I purchased these to keep them safe. They've been holding up well so far.
I ordered two to fit a large drawer (I live on a boat, so everything has to be stowed safely while underway). They've just been kicking around in the drawer since we switched from an electric cooktop to an induction cooktop (hence the switch to ferrous pans). They fit perfectly in the drawer, and my only complaint is that they are too short. There is only one slot that can accommodate anything taller than three feet. 5". I have 5- and 4- two quart Dutch ovens, and two 4" tall saucepans without lids (if nested, they're about 5" tall). (Height: 25"). I ordered two of these, as well as a large Dutch oven and three frying pans (one of which is Lodge cast iron). When you have a hacksaw, however, nothing is impossible. The saucepans can nest in the large slot, the lids are in the middle, and the small Dutch oven is in the newly wide slot, which has been reduced by one tier.
It appears to be a good idea. if the weld was done properly The joint on the lower left is completely unjoined. I just received it and will be returning it immediately. The second attempt, hopefully, will be successful. After we exchange, I'll update my review. ****UPDATED ON 2/29/2020: Last night, I received the replacement rack, and I'm in love with it! This one is trouble-free and holds all of my heavy cast iron with ease. Of course, only time will tell how well it holds up, but it appears to be solid and stable on my counter.
I've had this stand for a few weeks now, and it's where I keep my iron pans. Every few days, one or two of the pans will fall off and crash to the floor because it's become so bowed. I pull on it to reshape it, but it's simply not strong enough to support the weight without bowing. I like the idea, but I don't think it's really designed for iron pans like the picture suggests.
Cookware of various types, sizes, and shapes are among my many possessions. They are nestled inside each other when not in use. As a chef, I am well aware that it is not the healthiest option for them, so it is my dirty little secret. These and similar items were found on Amazon, and I chose these. I'm extremely pleased with the product; 5 stars all around, and I'll provide an update on the durability in a few months.
less than anticipated; surfaces that are slick not even close to being level I saw the ideal solution to my four-year-old daughter's problem in this rack. wrought-iron- pans- the- There is an issue with the cooktop. Alas. Picking up the Amazon box, which felt feather-light, was the first disappointment. Inside, it was light and small compared to my expectations. Still giddy, I began loading the pans onto the rack, only to discover that 1) the 12" Lodge, which I use every day, barely fits and is off-center; and 2) the 12" Lodge, which I use every day, is just barely fitting and is off-center. center, 2) the rack is quite precarious unless the dutch oven is on the bottom to stabilize it, and 3) once fully loaded, it's visibly not level and leaning forward under the weight of the extending handles - Each tier would have to be rigged with some non-essential items. To avoid a disaster, use a slip cover. It gets three stars because it might work for pans that are 10" or smaller. I'll put it in a cabinet to organize other pans I don't use very often, and I'll keep looking for a heavy, sturdy version to solve cast iron countertop storage.
Because I just got it, I couldn't give it a rating on durability. However, based on appearances, I believe it will last. br>Funny enough, when I was looking for a large stock pot, this product appeared in the "you might like this" section. " It struck me as a brilliant, yet simple, solution. I was stacking my cast iron cookware on the burner that wasn't in use. This is not a good location. It was, however, extremely useful - Because dishes are heavy and I didn't want to lug them out of the cupboard beneath the cooktop every time, I ordered it and am glad I did. This rack is far superior to the stove for storing cast iron cookware. I'm confident that I'll be just as pleased with it in the future as I am now.
