The trick is to put the screw on the KNOB first, drill the hole, and twist the knob into the hole if the instructions aren't clear. (My first blunder was attempting to install the screw into the WALL first, then the knob. ) ) I hope that wasn't too confusing.
My only piece of advice is to avoid using the wall anchors that come with the product. They're junk, as are almost all of the free wall anchors that come with a product. Unless you plan on hanging a decorative item that you won't be taking on and off the hook frequently, invest a few dollars in the newer FlipToggle 1/4" x 2 1/2" anchors. They're fantastic and ideal for this use. I believe they can support up to 130 pounds of weight hanging from them. Aside from that, the product is attractive and simple to set up.
The hooks are of good quality and come in a nice package. The color of the wood is ideal for a modern farmhouse appearance. br>br>It took us about 5 minutes to put it together, so it was simple and all of the parts were included. We decided to order more for our closet, where we hang purses and hats. It looks fantastic!.
We only have a small laundry room, but I wanted a mudroom where I could hang my coats. I put one peg for each family member, and it was incredibly simple once I figured it out. The hole you must drill for the anchor must be quite large, but once you've figured that out, all you have to do is hammer in the anchor, and then *this is the key*, which I discovered from another review on here - Screw the double ended screw into the hook first, then screw the hook into the drywall screw with a little pressure, and it will spin right into place. I would strongly suggest it. I'm thinking about getting some more to put in my closet right now.
I didn't hit any studs, so I had to secure them with drywall anchors, which I did, but they haven't moved. They're a fantastic alternative to standard hooks, in my opinion.
This arrived in a timely manner, and there were four of them in each box. The packaging protected the wood pieces from being scratched during transport. They were a tight fit. The hardware is included, and the installation process went smoothly. For easy assembly, solid wood pieces with good hardware are used. br>br>Installation: br>br>Quality product. br>br> It took me longer to measure the holes in the wall than it did to actually put them in. There is some hardware that is installed in the wall. The metal screw is then screwed into the wood piece, which is then screwed into the wall. They have a snug fit and can support a significant amount of weight. I do, however, require it for the transportation of heavy objects. br>br>Take a look at this: It's a very versatile, clean and simple look!.
I made a gallery wall out of the corridor. Using a wall mural as a backdrop, pegs were installed at even intervals at the top, and artwork was hung from the pegs. Without having to nail picture hangers all over the wall, we can change out the artwork on a regular basis, move things higher or lower, and add or remove pieces as needed. The space has been vastly improved. We can hide all of the artwork and use the pegs to store guests' coats if we have a big party (once we're allowed again). I couldn't be happier with how this turned out.
These are something I would stay away from. These are held together by a two-way screw. The wall anchor is a waste of money; once you've installed it and screwed in this proprietary screw, the wall anchor will not stay in place. It'd simply keep spinning. Because the anchor is so large, if you try another one, you'll end up with a large home in the wall. br>Because two of the three wouldn't screw in properly, I removed them and covered the holes with a long coat rack.
