The holes are 7 7/8 inches apart. I used short hollow wall anchors to secure it to a 24 inch wide door.
It's all thanks to free enterprise: after purchasing this item, I discovered an identical one at a Lowe's for a similar price.
I'm not sure. I'm guessing the strength of the attachment screw fastener would be a factor. But keep in mind that these hooks are designed to hold clothing. For the hollow core bathroom door, I used short hollow wall anchors. The hook assembly has been in place for more than a year and is still in good condition.
15 3/4" wide, 2 5/8" high, and 1/2" thick are the approximate dimensions.

This product has a great look to it, but the hardware is disappointing. Due to the item's size, it is unable to be secured on two studies. It's a little short and doesn't reach two studs, but that wouldn't be an issue if the seller included the necessary hardware to secure it to the wall. This product required a trip to Home Depot to be completed.
This is one of the simplest projects to complete because it comes with all necessary hardware as well as simple instructions. In my home, I have Franklin Brass products, which I have found to be of excellent quality. In my mud room, I use this product to hang my caps, dog collars, leashes, and belts. The price and style are excellent, and the project is simple to complete.
It looks great, and if it came with the necessary hardware, it would be simple to install. br>br>The product description made it appear as if it included the required hanging hardware, but the actual product instructions make it clear that the hardware included is only suitable for screwing directly into wood. You should get additional wall hardware if you're working with drywall or other materials. What is suitable for non-professionals? Because the instructions don't mention wood, I'll have to ask at the hardware store. The maximum weight this can hold, regardless of the hardware, is 35 pounds.
This set of coat hooks is attractive and well-made. The only disadvantage is that the hooks are closer together than those on other products. If you're only going to hang a few coats or something light, this will suffice. You might want to consider a larger (wider) unit if you're looking for something to use with heavy winter coats or a large number of coats and/or jackets.
One of these was broken in half after I bought two of them. Because the box did not show any signs of real damage, I believe it was already broken when it was shipped. I've previously purchased these and had no issues with them. I kept the one that wasn't broken and exchanged it for a refund on the one that was broken. These wall hooks are extremely attractive. I'm just trying to figure out why the other one isn't working. So there you have it.
This mounting method is preferable to the back-mounted inset screw mounts. It's a pain to get that perfectly aligned. The downside is that the screw holes aren't 16" apart, so the studs will be missed, and it doesn't come with screw anchors. So far, I've only had it in the sheet rock, but if they start to come loose, I'll use anchors.
The silver hooks contrast nicely with the white wood. This is where we keep our purses and coats near the front door. It's extremely durable (it can support up to 35 pounds) and simple to set up. I would strongly suggest it.
This simple but sturdy hook rail has nice clean lines. I purchased two of these. One to hang coats from at a low lever for my grandchildren. The second is near the back door, where I keep towels for my dogs as they come in and out of the cold. br>Both of these simple but attractive coat and towel hook rails kept coats and towels off the floor. br>br>Excellent value for money, and a simple solution to my problems.
