If you want to use them as coat hooks, make sure to space them out properly. I use them to hang visitors' handbags while they are visiting the house. When not in use, this clever hook folds up and out of the way.
I don't think command strips are a good idea. They are perfect and very sturdy after I had them screwed into the wall. These hooks are fantastic, and I can't say enough good things about them. They are attractive and fold up when not in use. I hope this has been of assistance.
They are extremely stromg, and I highly recommend them for close work.

The two things I wish I had known before ordering these are that the color is powder coat paint rather than anodized aluminum as the pictures suggested, and that there is enough of a gap between the wall mounted half and the hook itself when folded up to allow screws that aren't perfectly flush. The ikea bjarnum folding hooks that this appears to be a ripoff lack that spacing, making it impossible to use certain types of mounting screws.
Hooks are excellent. I ordered more because we have clumsy kids who don't look where they're walking and frequently snag clothes on hooks, but not on these. Also, because we have narrow hallways and a lot of stuff, these don't stand out and look ascetically pleasing when we aren't using them. They're surprisingly strong, as the kids and I haven't had any of our backpacks or laptops come loose while hanging them on them.
I eventually put them in a storage area, pantry, and the garage door. They are extremely durable and can be folded when not in use. They outperform standard hooks by a long shot! I can't say enough good things about it! Every penny was well spent!.
These are also very simple to hang as long as you can locate the studs in your walls. It's a simple and fashionable way to expand your options. br>br>Approximately three times more useful and sturdy than a mounted coat rack, and ten times more elegant. In addition, it takes up less space. br>br>I've already hung the entire set and will order more as soon as I figure out what color I want. The black I have looks great and is very modern, but I'm sure the other colors would look just as good. br>br>I've had multiple items weighing more than 30 pounds hanging on these for about a month now, and they've been taken off and put back on on a regular basis. I can't say enough good things about these specific hooks, which I use for things like a heavy duffel bag, a tool bag, my backpack with books, and so on. br>br>Anyone with a modern aesthetic and a limited amount of space or ADD will benefit from this.
I keep them closed unless I'm in there, at which point I flip them open and, yay, I can hang up all my clothes. I like to take clothes out of the dryer one at a time while it's running and hang them up to keep them warm so I don't have to iron them. So all four of these can fit a full load of laundry. Sorry, I'm not sure if this one required longer screws. I usually replace the screws that come with a product to ensure that it sinks deeply enough into the stud. They've stayed put even when I've hung a bunch of heavy jeans and jackets, etc. I hope this helps.
They have a modern appearance and a reasonable price. They look and perform far better than hooks I've seen that cost ten times as much. They're also really cool because they fold away.
The weight caused the cheap hooks on it to bend and break. These replacements look great and are strong enough to hold anything from jackets and hats to headsets and towels, among other things. They pull down smoothly and retract when needed. This is a nice feature to have. I believe there are keys hanging from one of the pictures. A standard keyring will not fit over the end of these, so this is slightly misleading. Just some food for thought.
I like how it appears unremarkable at first, but when you pull it down, it becomes quite interesting. It has the capacity to hold a large number of hangers.
