Correct, upper and lower hooks are equal to 20. The size of the jackets or vests you're hanging has an impact on their usability.

It only had seven hooks, not ten. Because it does not come assembled, I had to unscrew the 7 hooks after screwing them in to get my money back because they would not replace the missing parts.
We had ordered an Overstock "shelf/coat rack" that was supposed to arrive fully assembled. It arrived in pieces, complete with incorrect instructions and screws. This one was returned and this one was ordered in its place. It came fully assembled, and installation took only a few minutes. Because it's July, we haven't tried it yet. However, I found a similar one with 5 hooks that claimed to be able to hold 17. 5 lbs. This should be able to hold 35 pounds. I stepped on the scale with and without my winter coat, and it appears to weigh just under 4 pounds. As a result, this should be able to accommodate 9 adult winter coats. I expect it to hold at least ten coats, given that some will be children's coats.
Everything had been planned ahead of time It was perfectly drilled, and all I had to do was mount it with two screws. Due to the fact that those mounts are exactly 16 feet tall, I was able to screw directly into the wall studs with the screws in the center, making it very strong.
Straight and solid wood. The finish is excellent, and the hooks are of excellent quality. Because the packaging was flimsy, the top back of the wood was damaged. There was no need to return because it was hidden when mounting. The supplied anchors aren't great, so if you plan on hanging heavy backpacks on this, I recommend getting better ones. It's labeled as a coat rack, but you never know what you'll find!.
It's exactly what I was looking for. The only issue I have with this item is that the photo in the listing makes it appear to be much larger than it actually is. So, before you buy, double-check the dimensions to make sure it's the right size for you. Once you've measured twice, you've only got to buy once, right?.
It was already put together. Because we'd be hanging backpacks and heavy coats from the drywall mounts, my husband used stronger ones. a set of skis The perfect finishing touch for our mudroom!.
In person, the colors are absolutely stunning! The only drawback is that the hooks are too close together to be useful. Although there are ten hooks, there isn't enough room to hang a mix of adult and child winter jackets, so half of the hooks are left unused.
I don't think anything less than a person's body weight could take this down. The board is made of solid wood, the hooks are made of solid metal, and the hanging kit did a great job of keeping the rack in place.
