No, it did not work. However, because the screws are small and the hooks aren't designed to hold a lot of weight, anchors aren't required. I liked the hooks, and they worked well for hanging light horse equipment.

They were mounted on a long pine board that was evenly spaced. Decals with Red Sox themes were used to decorate the board. hooks don't get in the way of a good, comfortable fit since the screws aren't particularly long, probably about a quarter inch in diameter, so I wouldn't recommend them. For a bag of 15, the price was reasonable, and I still have five left over that I will almost certainly use for another project.

But we've needed a few over the years, and it's always been a pain that they were so expensive. pricey, and only came in two sizes most of the time Packs can be found at the local hardware store. I purchased these to use as a laundry bag hanger. The size is ideal, but the screws are extremely small. They wouldn't be able to keep the hook on the wall if they tried. To finish the job, I had to improvise with some real screws.
If you're going to use these to hold a heavy object that has a scarf tied to it and around it, make sure they're well secured to the wall at about doorknob height. Two of them may require the use of a scarf or other similar object for HANGING things. I'm confident they'll get the job done; in this case, they'll only be required once. Have a wonderful life.
