In the past, I owned a valet, but it didn't have a shelf or mirror. This one has both. I can leave my wallet, watch, and keys on the valet and I can even place my keys in the depression. As long as it's well-located, it's always at hand and I've never lost anything from it. If I need to move it, I can and all of the items are secure. As a result of its usefulness, my wife and I constantly compete over it, so it will be necessary to purchase another one. Here are some suggestions as to how to utilize this. If you fold the middle down, you can simply lay the blanket over the bar when it is spread out. In my case, I had to assemble the product twice because the directions didn't clearly state where the side rails go (make sure the extra holes for inserting the pant bar are headed towards the front). Due to the stripped screw heads, I had to move the screws around until the provided Allen wrench could be used. The lower cross bar had to be fixed using different screws, as the heads of the screws had been stripped. After all, it looks great. It was just a bit of a headache to put.
