This doesn't seem to be the case. As the hanger is held in place by rods, it will block your view. If you hang it from the pants rack, you should be able to use it.

I finally purchased a valet because my husband has been piling his clothes on the dresser for as long as I can remember. My first impression was that it seemed a bit erratic I wasn't sure how to explain it to him at first, but now that he's been using it, I'm sure As an added bonus, he uses it for his jewelry, so his dresser is completely Wood is smooth and rich in color, and the grain is even. There are noticeable flaws on my unit, but I'm not certain if it's a defect. It is obvious that the hangar is inverted to the right due to a misaligned support in the tray assembly. This is a gift I bought for my husband, and although it looked great in the photos, I wasn't that pleased with the actual product. My first disappointment was the omission of directions and lack of even a picture of the product when it arrived, rather than the assembly required. In order to figure out whether he had put the piece together correctly, my husband had to go to Amazon and find a picture. Furthermore, although this describes itself as having a charging station, what it actually means is that there is a hole in the back through which you feed a cheap extension cable that does not come with a 3-pronged plug Protected by surges on all three prongs, according to the advertisement. My experience with this company is all the way down and I will not purchase from them in the future.
I don't think this is a good product. The price I paid for it should be half of what it would sell for. This item is lighter in color than the picture shows. The parts were missing, some did not fit, and some were out of place in addition, the assembly was difficult because of the poor quality of the build. It wasn't possible to use two screw hole fillers because they were of the wrong type. Due to this exposure of hardware, it now has an exposed interface. It did not come with two 1" screws for attaching the hanger. There was a complication with the hanger bracket because the holes for the bracket were not aligned. In order to install it, the hanger had to be modified. Most people are unlikely to be able to complete this modification, so they would not be able to install the device. The four silicone pads for use on the base were not included, instead four very small and poorly made foam pads of the type used for cabinet doors were provided. The amount of information provided was insufficient for the purposes intended. The manner in which I handled it if I knew what I know now would have prevented me from purchasing it. It feels like I've been ripped off, but I will make due.
Assembling the piece wasn't hard, but when you had to attach the metal bar that connects the wooden shoulder it became a bit challenging. It would have been easy for me to contact the company and request that they send me the metal part, but I knew they might want me to return the metal part, and even if a replacement was sent, there would be a delay since all these wooden pieces would be in my path. It worked for me, so I went ahead and did it. My husband's clothes fit very well on the bag and it looks nice. I will surely If it is the metal part, then I can only hope that the toller did a good job. the rubberized rim they added to the hole had something to do with the fit as well. It would be difficult to give it as a present, however, since it has a It would be pointless to have a valet if that doesn't fit.
My friend and I have finally gotten around to putting it together, but alas, the box does not include instructions. (
If you could give me some instructions, I would gladly revise my review. As it stands, the product pieces seem sturdy, but once the pieces are assembled, I am not sure how durable they will be.
