Even though only a couple of months have passed since I purchased this, I have never had any damage to my door. My house is an old farm house, and I noticed that the door frame was a bit off on the closing side, so it left a little rub mark on the inside of the It is easy for me to open and close this door every day and I would not be reluctant to use it in a newer home. As far as my old ironing board, iron, and a few other items are concerned, it works very well.
No, I would say the opening is a little over a day Measures 1/2 inch
No idea what it's called, but I have an iron and an ironing board that doesn't have any lighting on it.
It is 13" deep in the basket portion. In other words, if your laundry room door is closer to a corner of the wall than it opens, you will have about three inches of clearance to open it fully. The unit kept the door open a full 10" from the wall when I put it on. There are a lot of them. The one I have is being returned.

I wouldn't call it an elegant solution, but it gets the job done. can either be hung on an interior door (which I do-- There is a gap between the door and my closet - 1 3/8" That is the target dimension) or to be wall-mounted It is mounted on Two Phillips screws and anchors are supplied with the kit. The ironing board hangs very low, but my large ironing board can be seen by a few inches from the floor. It is probably going to depend on the model of iron that is in your possession, but mine is a Rowenta and it is stuck at an odd angle in the bracket, and the power cord is stuck (if I wrapped it around the iron base as designed, it would not fit). My phone took the following photos, which I have attached. In summary, the product is light weight and made from inexpensive materials (keeping the price low). I like the way it works, fits in my door, and does what I want, but it is not the best fit for me.
Arrived early and in good shape. It comes with hardware for mounting over the door as well as on the wall. It was a pleasant surprise to find the wall mount - it holds the iron and spray perfectly, and it looks nice as well. The problem has to do with the description or picture. Unless you apply enough pressure, it will slip off our ironing board (please see the pictures attached).
I tested it and it did not fit our ironing board. My kids are five and I need the ironing board to be sturdier or less prone to popping out.
I may review my review if I can figure out a workaround or MetroDecor responds to me. My update will be forthcoming.
Well, it did to a point, until we figured out much more has to do with it than we thought. The eye level, or should I say! We noticed that the iron board dragged the floor when we hung it on the door and put it on top of it. According to the manufacturer, you need a door that is at least six feet tall to use this. I was very excited to see this iron holder modified over the door, because I thought it is so much better than all the others for the price. However, because of the weight of the iron board, the iron board once again dragged the floor when moving the door open to closed place. Since we modified it, we cannot return it or use it (because we modified it). The idea is great, but not practical for doors less than 82 inches or six and a half feet tall. There will be a problem with a full-size ironing board, but a travel size iron board will work.
There is no need for screws to install an overdoor system. If you are on the fence about whether to get this ironing board holder or another one, then this is a great option. The top part of the iron holder that we originally purchased went over the iron to keep it in place, but our iron was too big to fit superior to the other because it can accommodate the larger iron and other supplies, and nothing will spill out when the door is opened and closed. A shelf can be used for both the ironing board and the iron. My favorite thing about it is that I didn't need to use any screws to hang it on our door.
There is an indication that it can be hung over a door or on the wall therefore, I bought it. There is a wall between me and- Added it to the wall. My first screw went into a stud, while my second screw went into a plastic wall anchor I bought at the hardware store. It is not a good idea to put anchors into the water that are cheap- You should not use them, as they are junk and won't last a long time. Here are the ones I used and they were In a nutshell,.
I received a broken one when I ordered the first one. As soon as I returned it to Amazon, a replacement was sent to me for free the next day. Since the attachment at the end of my ironing board makes it long, I was worried it would not fit. But it fits perfectly! I'm concerned that the prongs holding up the board will give out over time because when I hang it up, the prongs bend outwards a little bit from the weight. At least, it seems to work so far!.
Each rod that allows the unit to hang from a door needs to be secured with a set of bolts that screw into the marked rod ends. Those bolts do not come with it, which requires a trip to a That must be a real.
In my case, mine arrived broken in a big box with no packing materials. In the end, I decided not to repurchase it because of the lack of craftsmanship, which led me to question its integrity and strength. As soon as I received it, I couldn't hang it from my door because the welding that connects the bracket (that goes over the top of the door) to the main weight-capacitor- wasn't in good enough order. There was a broken bearing post with the basket attached. As it stands, if I hung this thing up with my iron and ironing board on it, it would have tipped over since it is not At the time of delivery, it was already rusted. The whole thing is a waste of time. Having hollow core means I can't mount anything sturdy on my door. Would get something more substantial if I could, but I can't. I hate it.
