In terms of preventing scorching or burning of the tabletop where it sits, it does a good job, but the rest of the product lets in a lot of heat

A quilting club member purchased this for use in group meetings. Specifically, it helps prevent scorch or burns on the tabletop area, but the rest of the system allows for a great deal of heat to go through and settle into the table top. I am concerned that if it sits for a long period of time, it may cause damage to the item it is set YOU NEED TO BE VERY CAREFUL when setting it up.

The iron clip would be handy if I wanted to make sure it would not fall off my board or if my children were to come in and touch it. I sew a lot and needed a place to set my iron when I didn't want it to fall off my board. Unlike other iron rests I have used, this Dritz Iron Rest is absolutely sturdy and thick silicone, so I can bet I will continue to use it for years.

It's amazing how well it holds an iron

The metal iron holders are far superior to the old fashioned wooden ones. When iron is standing on its foot, it grips the iron well. Heat is absorbed very well by this material. Thanks for a great product, I'm glad I took the time to look into it.

I'm satisfied with the way things are going so far. While I'm ironing, I like it when I can leave my iron on the down position. My cats are less likely to knock off the ironing board when the iron is turned off when I use it when the iron is off.

Luckily I have this little mat that keeps my wrists from getting sore. We've been able to alleviate this problem quite a bit with this little mat. This is a wonderful.

You can just place the iron, hot side down, on this pad while it's up on the ironing board

I usually stand up on my ironing board and the pad is great since it lets me just sit the iron hot side down on it. If your iron is set to steam, it will spray water on the pad if it is left in place for a few minutes.

Although it seems a bit over-priced, it is the price that you pay for being lazy and purchasing online instead of going to a real store and searching for the item. I cannot see anything wrong with this iron the bumps allow additional heat to disperse and it stays steady without a problem.
