It is a pleasure to work with you. The ZD- of Roentgen Despite incredibly gunked up iron soleplates, I managed to clean them using 110 iron soleplate cleaner. Prior to ordering this product, we had tried almost everything we had in the house, including gasoline, which usually works well on most things but lately hasn't (maybe the ethanol in the gasoline is to blame). Anyway, I just wanted to say this. We squeezed a small amount of the product onto the white towel that came in the package, ironed it in circular motions, then squeezed another blob on a different section of the towel until the product was evenly smeared. I turned the iron over each time to see the results, and they improved every time. It was more a question of aiming the gunky part of the iron correctly onto the blob in the end. I think it took about 15 minutes in total. Thanks also to another reviewer for suggesting that when using the green towel for final cleaning, use an oven mitt. Make sure the iron is completely drained of water. In our iron with a separate steamer base, we had to press the steamer button for quite a while to get the water out of the "pipes" after emptying the tank. Although the price may seem high for such a small tube, it is still cheaper than the cost of purchasing (By the way, According to the This version is most likely toxic In lieu of the product described as non-alcoholic, I ordered this one My view is that some of these non-toxic substances can be toxic It's just not as effective to use toxic substitutes).
Worked like a charm! In ironing my pants at too high a temperature, my wife covered the soleplate of the iron with something (melted material from the synthetic material in due to which it no longer moved After using the cleaner kit on my pants, the soleplate was restored to its original state. (My pants were the second item to be used with the brand new iron. Please Note 1) You should wash the color [green] cloth (used to clean the soleplate of the cleaned surface) in a load in which its bleeding/leaching color won't become an issue (had I known it was washable, I would have washed it with my jeans in hot water Due to the fact that it had encountered [cold water] during the wash, the whites developed a green tint afterward.
An expensive Rowenta iron was left with a black gummy residue after being ironed with a wool ironing mat. Some cleaners failed to remove the black goo even after repeated attempts. I was blown away by the results of this product! I had to go through several applications, but the end result was worth it and even better than I had hoped. Some of it is even left over for another day.
As part of my initial attempt to clean, I attempted one or two cleaning methods I had found on youtube. As a result, the gunky build up was cleaned It took me some time trying to figure out why the baking soda paste clogged the steam holes during one of my Youtube attempts. Despite removing the brown/black buildup on the iron, this cleaner did not do its job in cleaning the contacted Rowenta customer service, and they referred me to the self-service and maintenance options available Earlier, I had tried to clean the steam holes using cleaning instructions (I had no idea there were any), but that didn't work A trick I found useful was adding water to the iron while it was still hot, so that water dribbled out of the Then I used this cleaner kit a second time, so both problems have been fixed.
The cost is a little high, but the product works perfectly. There are cheaper products on the market, but they are not as effective. Only a small amount is needed to clean with this product.
I found it to be effective. Even though the very caked on stuff took a razor blade to get off, it picked up a great deal of the other stuff I used about three cleanings right away (one at a time) from the tube, and there was enough for about six to eight cleanings. Make sure all windows are open and fans are turned on as there is going to be a lot of smoke.
The glide is again as good as new.
