When the heater is turned on, the fan that blows heated air begins to operate and continues until the heater is turned off.
Yes, like other appliance cords, it's quite long. By the way, it's fantastic! It appeals to me.
There is an electric cord, but it does not have a tip-over safety, so I recommend unplugging it when not in use.

It fits my 8-foot tent perfectly. Maintains a constant temperature of 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature is 77 degrees. It hasn't overheated, and I have it running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Keep an eye on the front black part, as it can get quite hot. This does not apply to the white part.
It was great until I accidentally knocked it over and it continued to blast away. I was taken aback and had to go back over the list. When "unit parts overheat," it shuts down. "I'm not sure if that's before or after it starts a fire; this thing gets hot when it's running. " Because I misread the listing, I'd be charged close to cost for return shipping, so I'd rather cut the cord and throw it away. I'm not going to donate a fire hazard; instead, get a heater that has a tip-over shutoff.
It appeals to me because it is compact and dark. It appears to be a speaker for a computer. I work in a frigid office environment. We are not permitted to use heaters. My fingers are cold as @$%$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I'm not going to get caught smuggling this in and out. Removes the heat and is extremely effective!.
It's only been a few hours since I put it under my desk, but it's been fantastic. Because this isn't supposed to be a high-powered heater, I gave it three stars for warmth and heat. I was suffocating from the 1200 Watt heater I was using. br>br>It's a small device with just an on/off switch. To put it another way, there isn't a thermostat that can be adjusted. But, since the 500 Watt heat output is just about right for the cold room I'm in, I'm willing to let it run for hours at a time. If the direct heat was too much for you, simply point the fan away from you. You can turn it off if it's still too hot. The fan does not produce much noise. br>br>It may be obvious to most people that even a small 500 Watt heater cannot be powered by batteries. However, I'm aware of some people who were misled by photographs that didn't show a cord and assumed it was battery operated. This heater does have a cord and requires a standard 120 VAC outlet in North America. However, because it only draws 500 watts, it shouldn't cause a house circuit breaker or wiring to trip. br>br>I will be completely satisfied as long as this heater lasts a long time.
I've had it for a few months and use it all day, every day in my freezing cold office. It's not too loud, so it won't bother others. If you're the type of person who is always cold at work, you'll want to get this for your desk!.
We've had some heating problems, and it's not the best time of year to have them! This is exactly what you need to get through this! STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! đź‘Ť.
It doesn't have a thermostat, which I probably didn't realize when I bought it. It can only be turned on or off. However, for such a small heater, it generates a lot of heat. I set a timer in my room for it to turn on about 20 minutes before I get out of bed, and it's nice and toasty by that time.
I wouldn't attempt to make use of this small, low-cost device. It's not a powerful heater, but it does a good job of blowing warm air across my desk when my designated office space becomes chilly. For longer periods of time, the front screen becomes too hot to touch, but not dangerously so - There is no sizzling sound when I put a wet finger against it. Despite the fact that the Owner's Manual claims that "this model is equipped with power control dial and thermostat control dial," these controls exist only in the minds of the manual writers. The 'Control Panel' is depicted in Figure 1 of the manual as just a power switch, and that is exactly what you get. Turning it on and off is the only way to control it.
