I'm sorry, but I'm no longer in possession of the mantel. At that price, it is an excellent piece.

Excellent workmanship and a lovely finish. It's simple to put together, and the instructions are simple to follow. The only issue with this design is locating the studs in the wall to secure the mitered mounting piece. The exact same mantle was just over half the price quoted by the local retailer, and that didn't include the $150 installation fee.
After visiting a number of large DIY stores, I decided to order this mantel. Pearl Mantels appear to be carried by all of them. I was able to match the wood to the existing kitchen cabinets, and they are now installed in the great room. It was put up by amateurs rather than a professional carpenter. After removing the circa 1986 mantel that came with the house, the "slip over" piece of wood that holds the mantel on the wall was simple to attach. I threw away the special nuts and bolts that came with the box by accident. BTW, the packaging was excellent, but the homeowner neglected to look inside the enormous box for the screws. So, when I realize my error, I call the Tennessee-based company. I was planning on purchasing the hardware to attach the corbels, but the representative was so nice and gracious that she insisted on Pearl sending me the hardware for free. It did, in fact, arrive in just two days! I'm so impressed with the Pearl Mantel Company that if the need arises, I'd order from them again without hesitation!.
There are no issues to report. The installation was a problem for me because there were no instructions included. Going to pearlmantels. com and downloading a pamphlet explaining how it is secured helped a lot, but the installation was overall very simple.
It's made of solid wood and has exceptional quality. The stain is deep and consistent, and the installation is straightforward. Because it's such a large item, I recommend having two people help you put it together.
It has a great appearance. Distressed Cherry The Pearl Mantel 48" br>The mantel was well-packaged and resembled the image on Amazon. It was simple to follow the directions. br>I double-checked the building codes to ensure the mantel was installed correctly. br>I first hung it with just the shelf, but after seeing how it looked with the corbels, we decided it looked better. After the corbels were installed, it was simple to remove and replace them. br>It took me about 2 hours to hang the mantel, the majority of which was spent unpacking the mantel, gathering and putting up my tools, and cleaning up. br>The bricklayers had done an excellent job leveling the bricks (less than 1/64 inch off). ) and I anchored the mortar with five anchors. I used pilot holes to prevent cracking in the mitered hanger board, which is made of hard wood. My wife and I will continue to enjoy tit for many years.
But the mantle is stunning (and comes in three different styles), and I couldn't have made a better decision!.
Although a fireplace may be added later, a mantle was required for Christmas displays. It's lovely, well-made, and simple to put up. Love it!.
It looks great and is incredibly simple to set up. The wood is of excellent quality. I really like how adaptable the design is. I chose the 48" and found it to be quite lightweight. This was a job that required only one person to complete. The most difficult part is finishing the stud; I recommend not removing the hole plug for the corbel installation unless you're certain which part you'll be replacing and which you'll be leaving out.
