Product Description

Hidden mantel hardware that supports mantels up to 14" deep and 3 1/2" thick. The first and only patented bracket

This product is designed to be installed on masonry, sheetrock, plaster, and paneled walls.

Supports up to 300 pounds of distributed load. , once properly installed

1" OC from each end, and 4" OC down the length of the hardware, screw holes are set. Screw holes are 3/16" in diameter and countersunk.

To secure the mantel to your hardware, drill a set screw hole in the outside rods. Silicone glue can also be used to adhere the mantel to the hardware. Both methods are equally effective, but glue is the most convenient.

It's solid and well-designed

This mounting bracket was used to install a 10" x 10" x 6 ft re-inforced concrete slab. Barn wood with a purpose. The estimated weight was 160 pounds, and the bracket was designed to hold 200 pounds. During installation, the bracket remained firm and showed no signs of fatigue or strain, even with the mantle poised on the rods' ends. To accommodate stud locations, there are plenty of countersunk screw provisions (I added extra blockers just in case). It comes with instructions for drilling the mantle holes, but don't underestimate how difficult it is to drill five straight 7" deep holes! My auger bit turned out to be a bad choice, and I ended up with a 1. A spade bit with a diameter of 25 millimeters (larger than the 1. 25 millimeters) was used. It is recommended that the diameter be 125. Overall, I strongly advise you to purchase this bracket!.

Extremely powerful. My contractor stated that aligning the exact hole in my mantle with these metal prongs was a bit of a pain, but once he did, it is incredibly strong. I would recommend it and purchase it again if the need arises. Just make sure you have the proper equipment.
