Questions & Answers
It is attached to the wall after it has been constructed. The upper end of the shelf has a wedged wood mount plate that mates with the back of the shelf. The shelf simply slides over the mount and becomes very stable once it is installed against your stone surface. The hardware is already installed; However, the holes you'll have to drill into the stone may necessitate the use of additional studs. The mounting surface must, without a doubt, be nearly flat!
First and foremost, the screws do not have to be stainless steel, but they must be of good quality. Second, make every effort to secure the hanger board to as many studs as possible. You should be able to hit at least two studs before inserting 3" to 3 1/2 spring loaded (wing type) anchors into the drywall. It should suffice with two of them. After installing the first screw, double-check your level, draw a line to keep your level in place, and then finish installing the remaining screws.
It has a depth of 10 inches and a width and length of 60 inches.
The distressed cherry is made of wood that has been stained. It isn't painted in any way.

This mantel's central concept is "French cleat. " Everything goes very smoothly as long as you have a straight wall and the piece you are installing on the wall is properly cut and sized, as was the case with the piece I received. The mantel had an excellent stain and lacquer finish. There were no flaws in any way. br>On the other hand, the mother of pearl inset is uninteresting to me. It appears to be a flaw that serves no purpose. The entire structure is made of solid Southeast Asian wood, most likely gumwood, from Vietnam. br>br>In addition, the color of the finish lacked the hint of red that is required for a cherry finish. Overall, I would purchase it again and recommend it to others.
This mantel is lovely, and it went up quickly on my brick fireplace (anchored in the mortar). It did, however, come with a warped mounting board. br>br>I contacted the manufacturer in Tennessee (whose phone number I found on their website [. ) Within a business week, I received a replacement. It's refreshing to see a company stand behind their product, and the overall product is of high quality.
Except for the pearl, it's a lovely piece. The pearl appears to be a random white ball stuck in the wood, which is difficult to notice.
I think it's lovely, especially for the price; I could do without the peqrl insert, but it didn't detract from the beauty; it also didn't seem to add anything.
My wife had been wanting a mantel for years, but she always wanted one with a full wood surround, which I didn't think would work with the brick from floor to ceiling. She fell in love with it when I showed her a picture of it, and it hasn't let her down. It's a stunning piece of furniture that looks fantastic above the fireplace. The angled corners drew my attention at first as a safety feature, but they also add to the design's appeal. It is adored by all who see it. It's been dubbed "my wife's new toy" because she's been having a lot of fun putting the finishing touches on it.
It was simple to put together because all of the pieces were flat and straight, and the joints were excellent.
It's made of high-quality materials and is simple to put together.
