I believe it is glued, but given the thickness of the rod, I don't think it needs to be replaced. It's a fantastic ferro rod! br>
No, I can't completely answer your question about fire strikers because I don't know enough about them. I use mine in real-world survival situations and have never had a problem with the handle coming loose; however, it's always possible that you'll buy one that does? I hope you found this information useful.
The same question was posed to me, but it went unanswered. It's a 1/2" rod, by the way. Because of its size and handle, it's a great beginner rod. The provided striker is also nice, though not quite as sharp as I'd like. The rod is softer material and will throw gobbs if struck full length. It's not bad.

Okay, with this ferro rod set, I've officially joined the ranks of bushcraft royalty. When I ordered it, I didn't have high hopes. I have a variety of ferro rods in various shapes and sizes, but none with a handle, which I thought was something a bushcrafter should have for purposeful use. The rest will come in handy if you have to bug out or if your plane crashes into the Alps. As a result, this one was on sale for a limited time. This seemed like a good place to start. br>br>I was mistaken. I can't decide whether I want to bury it with it or leave it to an unborn grandchild in my will. When I unwrapped the lovely box from its Amazon package and opened it, I gasped. br>br>First and foremost, it is enormous. That corvette doesn't need to be purchased. Second, it's extremely attractive. The gleaming wooden handle, with its form-fitting grip and matching striker, is simply stunning. I almost didn't want to scratch it; I was thinking of framing it and displaying it alongside my Van Gogh knock-off. off. But I had to do it in order to write the review. The striker did an excellent job. br>br> I think I'd like a couple more just to make sure I don't become clinically depressed if I lose it. When I struck the rod down the shaft with the striker, a nice shower of sparks erupted. The ferro rod set is fantastic. That's what I'm attempting to convey. If I knew anyone who deserved them, I'd buy some more as gifts. The packaging and presentation are begging to be given as a present. Myyyy preciousssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss br>br>It could cost four times as much as it is now and still be a good deal. I'm excited to purchase more items from Holtzman because they all appear to be well-designed, conscientious, and a little sexy(TMI?). Should you purchase it? br>br>Is it worth it? I suppose that's true.
Because it appeared to be not only a good deal, but also an additional fire starter to add to my arsenal. Unfortunately, when it came to me, it was a different story. The end of the wooden handle should never have come into contact with the fire rod because it has an End grain knot. IN ADDITION, THERE IS A CRACK THAT IS AN INCH LONG. IN ADDITION, THE BRASS EYE LET IS RUFF ENOUGH TO CUT YOU! THIS IS BEING SENT BACK TO YOU. I AM, HOWEVER, GOING TO BUY ANOTHER ONE. I HOPE I RECEIVE MY SECOND ONE IN MUCH BETTER CONDITION! br>I truly believe you have a fantastic product, with the exception of the breakaway necklace, which is in excellent condition, as well as the striker. I can't wait to get my hands on the next one!.
This is the ferro rod set that I bought for my kid. This thing is a beast, and it appears to be well-made. It's different from other ferro rods in that it's long, thick, and beefy, with a surprising amount of weight. The wood handle is polished to a beautiful smooth finish and embossed with the company's gorilla head logo. A matching wood-handled striker is included, as well as a black lanyard with a smaller ferro rod attached. Everything comes in a sleek black gift box. In terms of functionality, the longer rod makes it incredibly simple to generate the sparks required to start a fire. br>br>If I had to criticize this ferro rod, I would say that the striker could be a little thicker and perhaps a little longer. The striker, in my opinion, should be as heavy as the ferro rod. However, it's such a minor detail, and the set works flawlessly the first time, every time. So, if you're on the fence about spending the money on this beauty, don't let my pickiness deter you. Don't hesitate to purchase it. This is a purchase you will not be sorry for!.
When I received the ferro rod, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it is a 1/2' rod! Handle is well-made and fits the 6" rod perfectly. I highly recommend this for camping because it produces amazing sparks right away. It may be a little heavy for someone going on a multi-day hike, but it will last and do the job.
This thing is beautiful wow great buy man wow it blows sparks I love this fire steel and it looks great I am so glad I bought it I was worried it would be a cheapo but it is not a great buy I get ripped so much but this is built tuff love it I usually give bad reviews for stuff that sucks but this was one of my best buys on Amazon thank you to all who made it thank you to all who made it.
Bushcraft Balln!br>This Ferro Rod is a bit of a splurge, but it's well worth it. When you're trying to start a fire, you don't want to waste time fiddling with a tiny Ferro-Cement canister. Rod, here's the deal. br>Like it's July 4th, this thing spits out husky chunks of Spark. br>The Handle has a lot of quality, and the Cool little Gorilla Holtzman logo is dope. br>The rod is 1/2 inch in diameter, which is very nice. br>This is the HUMVEE of Ferro-Chemicals. Rods made of cerium. br>br>I had a problem with the "Free Shipping" option at checkout, so I called Amazon and they fixed it over the phone.
I really like this fire striker, and it works great. It also comes in a nice box. br>Nice work by the manufacturer on this fire striker, and I should point out that the finger groves on the handle fit my hands perfectly; my hands are large for a six-foot man, and the grip on this handle is just right. br>I like this striker so much that I ordered a second one for my emergency bug out bag. br>I don't think you'll be disappointed for the price because it's well worth it and works flawlessly.
It's beautifully made. When you receive the box, you will notice that it is beautifully packaged. It's awe-inspiring when you open the box. To be honest, it appears to be quite lovely. It is, without a doubt, the best ferro rod I have ever used. I have a lot of stuff. Holtzman 3 inch rods are also available. This is a truly amazing device. If you get it as a gift, you'll want one for yourself. As if the magnificently crafted wood handled beast of a rod and effective matching striker weren't enough, they included a cool little necklace ferro rod for your EDC. The sheer awesomeness of this thing astounds me.
