Questions & Answers

What key is it in (if you're going to play it like a bugle, uh, a straightened-out bugle)? out of the blue)?

An Ab is the fundamental, or at least that's as low as I could get it. Although the mouthpiece is a little shallow, it could probably be made to work by someone with a better lip than me.

The mouthpiece had come loose and was no longer usable. Is there a way to make things better?

There isn't a simple solution to this problem. However, if you call Infora, the manufacturer, at 845 477 5049, we'll be able to assist you in resolving the issue. Thanks.

How long does it take for the fireplace to blow polk? Do you have any polk that is more than three feet long?

It measures approximately 3 feet in length.

A bellow or a firedragon, which is more effective?

The blow poke technique is extremely effective. It can also be used to put out fires. You'll still need a fire rending tool even if you have a bellows.

This is one of the BEST camping accessories you will ever purchase
5/5

This is a fantastic piece of equipment! I didn't realize how useful this product would be. To begin with, it is much lighter than I had anticipated, but it is also extremely durable. Any log can be moved with ease. The length is ideal. You have command, but you aren't directly over the fire and are surrounded by smoke. A single charcoal briquette fits perfectly into the claw, which is perfectly angled. Genius! Right there was some excellent design work. The blow tube is by far the most impressive feature. I thought it was a gimmick when I first heard of it. I assumed that a massive lung-bursting blow would be required to make any difference to the actual fire, but that was not the case. A regular gulp of air and puff down the tuber will really help to speed up the fire. Simply place the claw into the coals where you want to increase the fire volume and blow. Fantastic outcomes. The fire gets a lot more oxygen, which causes the fire to get a lot hotter. I've spent a lot of time in the woods. This is my preferred pastime. I'll never do it again unless I have one of these. I'm thinking of strapping it to my backpack when I go backpacking because it's so good. I can't say enough about how much I like this product.

Don't dismiss it until you've given it a chance
5/5

This product is extremely well-made and performs even better than the manufacturer claims. We have an older woodstove with limited airflow, and it was not uncommon for the fire to go out several times a day during the winter, requiring us to restart it from scratch. This item allows you to revive even the tiniest ember, and by that I mean the size of a pea, so that your fire doesn't go out completely. It also works great in a wood grill and as a result of this, our start up time to start cooking is now 50% less! I know a few people who have wood stoves and will be receiving these as gifts. Thank you so much for creating such a fantastic product!.

Definitely worth the money

the best fire pit tool available. Since 2007, I've purchased three more of these. The only weak link is the blow-in part, which can break off OVER TIME, and I wasn't particularly gentle with it. I bought it for camping, but it got thrown around during loading and unloading, and the second one I ran over with my truck, breaking the end off. So, what are your plans? The second one took place seven years ago. I still have it, but I'd like to get a new one for my new house, which has a fire pit, so the old one will be returned to the camping bag. Trust me. br>br> It's unlike anything else you've ever seen. Those antennas you blow through are nice for nothing because they get gummed up and won't open and close properly, and this thing is great for both moving wood around in the fire and blowing through. br>br>Because the tube has a large diameter and a small opening at the end, you don't have to blow very hard to get a jet of air.

Bellows are a thing of the past
5/5

I have a charcoal grill and prefer lump charcoal. I refuse to use lighter fluid because I can always detect a difference in the taste and smell of the food. I looked at bellows and realized how expensive they were for such a simple device, so I resorted to simply blowing on the fire. When my wife caught me doing this, she said I was going to burn my face off. I'll admit that there were times when I felt like I'd cooked more face than steak, but I figured that's the price I'd pay for not using lighter fluid. I discovered by chance one day that blowing through a simple drinking straw improved my focus and results significantly. Then my wife came out and found me blowing into the fire with a straw in my mouth; she didn't even scold me; instead, she just rolled her eyes and went back into the house. That woman, she's a patient soul. I came across the firedragon while searching on Duckduckgo for something that would make me look less like an idiot to my wife while still maintaining my purist view of fire. After agonizing over the price for a few days and attempting to figure out if I could use something I already had as the poor-man's version of the poor-man's version of the poor man's version of the poor man's version of the poor man's version of the poor I wanted the man's version, so I ordered it. It's absolutely wonderful. It's strong enough to move large chunks of charcoal, and the blow hole not only works well, but also gives me a sense of connection to the fire, which you'll either get right away or never understand. Last but not least. My wife has once again expressed her approval of me.

It's both effective and attractive
3/5

The blow poke may appear to be an expensive gadget for what is essentially a narrow metal tube, but it does its job well – far more effective and safe than placing your face close to the flame and blowing on the embers to stoke them. The air spouts are perfectly angled to direct the air precisely where it is needed. You can blow gently to start a new fire or forcefully to heat embers to the point where they will ignite wood. I am 6'4" (195 cm) tall. I was concerned that the poke would be too short for me, but I'm fine with it.
EDIT: Although the above is correct, I believe the air was distributed through the two prongs at the end. I was surprised to learn that the air only comes from the main shaft's center. In practice, this is nothing more than a hollow metal tube with prongs for moving logs. Because I believe it is not worth the asking price, I have reduced my rating from five to three stars.

After a few tweaks, it's perfect
3/5

Solid, well-crafted, and finished product. A stream of air emerges from a small hole between the prongs when you blow into the (comfortable) brass mouthpiece. In theory, this is a very useful fire tool for "fanning the flames" of a smoldering fire. A bellows is more difficult to direct and control. br>br>BUT: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be The gap between the prongs was too small, making it difficult to blow and resulting in very little airflow. It worked great once I drilled it out to just under 1/4" in diameter: It was simple to blow and the airflow was strong. However, due to the strength and thickness of the steel in that area, drilling it out proved difficult. I would have given it five stars if it weren't for this.

The most incredible thing I've ever seen
5/5

Over ten years ago, my brother gave me one of these as a birthday present. It became my favorite gift almost immediately, and I wore it all the time. It remained in excellent condition until the mouthpiece fell off about two years ago, but I continued to use it until it vanished from my fire pit supplies last weekend. I'm sure it's out there somewhere, but I bought one for myself using the excuse that it was my birthday again. And, by the way, my ten-year-old granddaughter used it last night to build a fantastic fire, and she sat there for nearly an hour blowing through it to keep it stoked.
