These sticks are made from old pine tree stumps and are a great help when it comes to starting and maintaining wood-burning fires. You should bring a few of these with you whether you're going camping, buying convenience store logs for your condo fireplace on a ski trip, or looking for highly flammable wood to ignite the bird nest in your authentically primitive wood fire. They arrived well-packed and stacked, and they arrived quickly. One of my pet peeves is that, despite knowing that Fatwood/Firewood/Burn Forever wood comes in different grades, I couldn't figure out what the different grade determinants were. So, instead of paying big bucks to a major corporation for less wood in a pretty box that didn't mention grade, I paid big bucks to a somewhat local company for this labeled "Premium" and larger quantity in a plain cardboard box. Thank you so much, Amazon!.
Admit it: I used to carry a strong lighter or a tea-lighter with me. I'm going to make s'mores with my little goonies, so I'm going to light candles. That's correct, I just admitted it. As a single mother, I've had to learn a variety of new skills. Mom has upped her game by using these kindling sticks. My kids were blown away, and you were giddy with delight! Now I'm able to start my fire pit on my own! My next life objective is to Maybe these can also aid in the lighting of fireworks?.
This product is very easy to start a fire with. It does, however, smell like kerosene. Indoor use is not recommended. Fire pits and the like are fine, but I'm still on the lookout for a good fire starter for our fireplace.
This necessitates the use of wood-burning stoves. I've never been able to get the wood stove to light and stay lit. Then there was fatwood, which I tried. Four pieces in a teepee, wadded newspaper on top, and kindling on top of that. It's great, and if the fire goes out, just stick a piece of fatwood in there and light it like a candle on a cake.
After lighting a few fires with these, I can confirm that they burn hotter, larger, and longer than Fatwood brand starters; As a result, instead of using four sticks, I use three. To easily start a fire in my fireplace, I used 5 fatwoods. I would recommend this product and would purchase it again.
The size of each stick was rather large, which was fine; just remember to split them a few times with a small hatchet before using, as this will help them burn smoother and light whatever you're burning.
Excellent assistance with lighting a wood fire in an earth stove fireplace insert!.
