The small matchbox is 2 and 1/4 inch (2.25 cm) in length and width. 1 and 7/16 inch (1.25 inch) long by 1.25 inch (1.25 inch) wide 3/8 inch (.4375 inch) wide by 4375 inch (.4375 inch) long. Thickness: 375 inch An earlier answer was correct in terms of length, but it was too short in terms of width and thickness. I measured one actual box to get these measurements, but I'm not sure how much variation there would be if multiple boxes were measured. I figured any difference in size would be insignificant, so I didn't bother with a calculation for calculating average size.
They're white, but not a bright white.
The second option is impolite. The description is a little unclear. A box of matches appears to contain 50 matches. It takes a little digging to discover that each box contains 18 matches, for a total of 50 boxes, as I read it.

These are fantastic! Small wedding favors would be ideal. These other websites charge a lot for custom match boxes, so I decided to buy in bulk and apply the sticker myself. They are fantastic. If anyone else wants to do something similar, I made the label (2"x3") in Photoshop. I used Avery's 2"x4" labels for printing. After that, close the door. The 2" side was perfect for the matches, and it wrapped around the box perfectly.
I used Avery 2"x4" labels (product 8163), as recommended by another reviewer. There was some excess to cut off, but it worked out perfectly for me. The lower rating is due to the fact that the box in which they were shipped was slightly damaged and falling apart (the box was shipped in a shipping envelope). Water appears to have played a part in some of the damage. I lit a match from one of the boxes near the worst part, and it lit perfectly; the matchboxes themselves appeared to be in good condition. I was only given 49 matchboxes instead of 50, which was acceptable for the price. I would have given this item a five star rating if I had received all of the items and the box in the envelope had been in good condition.
For a camping-themed wedding, I hand-stamped all of mine. Arrived within a reasonable amount of time.
Following in the footsteps of others, I discovered that this was a far more cost-effective method of obtaining custom matches. I used VistaPrint and ordered them on high-gloss label paper; I had to trim the 4in side down a little, but they turned out great!.
These games are a lot of fun. I wanted custom matches for my cigar bar at my wedding, but I didn't want to spend too much money on them. I simply bought stickers that I thought matched our winter wonderland wedding theme and slapped them on. They turned out great, and I still can't believe how much I spent on them all together! These matches, however, are made to a higher standard. When using Yankee Candle matches, you may occasionally receive a match that is of an inconsistent size, the stick may be too thin, splintering or breaking too easily, or the match head may be uneven or contain more or less material than it should. The quality of these matches has been consistent from the first to the last, which means less worry about safety, leaving a burn mark on valuable furniture, or sending a flying hot cinder to land on something that might catch fire. br>br>They light easily, so no striking the box several times to get the match to work, or throwing away matches that turned out to be duds. br>br>THE END RESULTS: A well-made, timeless product that, on its own, never goes out of style or utility, and to which you can add style if desired.
Great product; matches light up quickly when slid across the strip (better than store-bought matches in my opinion because you don't have to keep swiping). There will be some smoke at first, but this is unavoidable. These are some nice sticks. There were a few flaws, but at this price, you can't reasonably expect each match stick to be perfect; that's unrealistic. All of the boxes were spotless and well-assembled.
